I am single for 2 yrs and have a 4yr old daughter. I am fortunate enough to work out of the house so I get plenty of hands on time raising her untill she goes to school.I am a happy person and contented with my life and where it is going. I have my own business, own my own home and everything I need. There are some things that could be better, but instead of complaining, I work on it. Life has its obstacles, just how do you get around them. This is my approach. My glass is deffinately half full.
I am interested in renewable energy. I converted my car to run on vegetable oil that resturants throw out when they clean out thier frier (a bit of a scientist, but I won't blow the house up or anything because I keep it in the garage:0) I also hope to get my house off the grid soon. I like the outdoors and nature, dining out from nice resturants to a small quiet places, gardening, antiques, animals, music, movies, bonfires, Spoonin, working on my house and property, cooking healthy meals (I am an angel in the kitchen :), and going to the swimming holes in Woodstock in the summer with my little girl. (I live closeby).
You: intelligent, honest, family oriented, basicaly happy and caring but has a good sense of humor, self respect and not afraid to laugh and have fun. You should also be aware of the consequences of your actions and how the effect people around you. I do not care what you do for a living or how much money you make. I work to live and enjoy life so money and material items are not important to me. A little bit of a partyer is ok too. Looks not everything but I must be attracted.
On the lighter side. An old timer in 1990 once told me: "I don't understand why people get divorced nowdays. You get married, get old and get dead. If you are lucky it happens in that order. You work out your problems and stay together. Kids nowdays just split instead of working on problems and carry it from one relationship to the next...never happy with what they have and always looking for an upgrade. Take me and my wife for instance...been married 42 years and only had one fight! Only one fight...can you imagine? AND THAT STARTED IN 1948!" :0)
Not that I neccesarily want or need to get married but what I took away is: Everybody disagrees and every couple has some fights at one point or another. Just some "fight" better than others. Play by the same rules, recognize lines that neither will cross, maintain mutual respect and self control, accept you partner for who they are...not who you want them to be and I don't think it hurts to have a positive attitude and a sense of humor!
But what do I actually know...I am here aren't I?
