Been single for while and it has been great enjoying the peaceful solitude, but I have to admit it is not what I really want out of life so...here I am. Am not looking to rush into things and feel it is important to become friends first and build on that. I am a happy person and not much gets me down for long. I have a 5yr old little girl that I have with me most of the time so I think I would have more in common with someone that has children or likes children around them and has no problem putting them first since they are unable to do that themselves. Her mother and I work things out civily (without court) so there is none of the usual related drama one would expect. I am pretty busy fixing up my house, running a household (it sure seems like I spend most of my time cooking and cleaning...it just dosen't look that way!), my business and rasing a little girl.

I live in the country, like nature and animals. I have a cat and 16 chickens (uh...11/07 bear broke into the coop and ate the chickens!) running around and a possible puppy in the near future.

I have an interest in renewable energy/green living. I converted an old mercedes to run on vegetable oil as a start (don't laugh it saves me my mortgage every month!) and would love to get my house off grid someday.

Music is a big part of my life. I can enjoy almost any kind of music except opera, show tunes, gangster rap, and most country. I play guitar and am teaching my daughter. Alot of my friends are musicians and some of the best times are spent playing around a campfire all night.

I find sincerity, strenght, self respect, happiness, independence and the ability to communicate to be attractive qualities in a woman. The type of person who understands, deserves and will not settle for less than equality and is responsible for her own actions and happiness in life. I am not looking to change anyone nor do I want to be changed. I would like someone who will accept me as I am and I am looking to do the same in return. That is not to say that I am not willing to compromise...just that with the right person there really shouldn't be an excessive need on either side. I feel 50/50 is the way to go and am looking for someone who feels the same way and wants to meet me in the middle. Artist/creative types are a plus.

I am not hung up on money, nice cars or material things. Money is just something I pay my bills with. Taking care of my daugther and having time to spend and enjoy life with family is tops on my list. Luckilly I run my business out of my house at my leisure so I have plenty of time to spend with her. I could make more money if I spent more time at it...just the tradeoff is not worth it as long as the bills are paid and the future secure. That is not to say I am looking to be someones dependent or take on another one myself...(I do just fine and better than most) I am just not looking to push myself to the limits to support a lavish lifestyle that I really have no interest in and giving up time with my family in the process. I am only interested in meeting someone with similar priorities or who is at least OK with this.

Well I guess I am learning more about what I do not want as I read the profiles on here. If your PRIMARY interests are pretty much described below, I am affraid neither one of us will get what we want from each other. No hard feelings...just means we are not right for each other. I feel everyone should get what they want out of life and that there is someone for everyone. Best of luck in finding yours!

Excessive travel. (some is ok but I am not looking for a lifelong obsession traipsing around the world... and I hate planes...had a bad experience... so would prefer destinations that can be driven to unless you drug me then the plane will work!), Fairy tales, storybook endings, bored easily, needs constant attention, high maintenance, looking for exictement (this wears off you know) unhappiness, materialistic people, Shopping, Dancing, NYC, Clubs, Bars, Pubs, Lounges, Sports, cruizes, country music, Plays, Musicals, Broadway, Ballet, Shows, serial daters, players, opera, flirts, wears revealing clothing for attention (yes that includes posting a bikini pic in your profile!), jumps from relationship to relationship, likes to refer to yourself as "attractive" without solicitation or if you omited the word PRIMARY out of the preceding paragraph. Wait...did I mention country music?:0)

A man, having marital problems, climbs to the top of a mountain to talk to god. He spends several days there praying and fasting when gods great voice cam down from the heavens and says:

"What can I do for you my child?"

The man says:

"God, why do you make women so soft and pretty and to smell SOOOOOO SWEEEEET?

God Replies:

"So you will love them"

The man, frustrated with his arguments with his wife asks:

"But God, why did you make them soooo stupid!?"

And God replied:

"So We will love you":0)

Just a quick meet at first to see if there is any mutual interest...anything simple is fine I am more interested in the company than the activity. If we get along: Picnic, Hike, Museum or maybe some ice cream or Go Carts. If we don't....paintball!lol At any rate, there is never any harm in having some laughs and making new friends.
