About Me
I'm on the all-orange diet: carrots, cheez-whiz, orange crush, cheetos, and creamsicles. I show art at a major gallery, do museum installations, and work with video and film, also with electronic, pop, and experimental music, I perform with groups, play solo, and record. My family is Swedish and I grew up in Chicago...my mother (and her sister) were models when they were young...she also loved to write and had a fascination for the arts in general. my father is a retired scientist and retired CEO of a big adhesives company . my grandmother came over from Sweden when she was a little girl...oddly enough, she never dreamed that her son would be the CEO of a big adhesives company...or that her grandson would be on the all-orange diet. she loved listening to polka music...and never threw anything away...so her basement and attic were filled with unusual old things...which I loved to dig through as a child....which must have some bearing on why I have a house full of books, old photographs, letters, music and art! I'm currently working on a new series of video portraits.
I love going on long drives, eating in restaurants along the way, taking digital photos, etc. ...I like fixing things and always take care of myself and those close to me. I feel comfortable in the big city (where I grew up) but also like small towns (where I live now) and also like roaming around the beach or the woods. I find most everything amusing and poignant.

video portrait series pt. 1 update
the images from the last month or two are incredible...spooky and beautiful like Francis Bacon meets Penelope Tree.
Ten finished loops chosen so far from miles of footage. A technician is coming down from Virginia in October to help in the video formatting and printing of large scale still photographs from the series...by the time this presentation is ready in November for gallery viewing approximately twenty persons will have had a hand in various aspects of this project and my thanks go out to each and every one of you.
just like Sly Stone says, "You Can Make It If You Try", all it takes is dedication and determination and so forth and so on blah blah here's something REALLY inspirational:

First Date
Mozambique would be nice - but i don't want to push it on the first date, so Waffle House will do!
coffee, tea, interesting conversation, good food, etc.
I found these words of wisdom on one of the forums:
"You decide when the time is right to let go and love somebody. How you feel and what you feel does not have to be based on how someone else feels. Sometimes we fall in love and the other person never feels that way about us. Does that make it wrong for us to have loved them? I don't think people "fall in love" at the same time. Someone goes first. I guess you just have to figure out if you're willing to "go first"."
"And you know, sometimes, one day you're not in love, and then something is said, something is done, something changes, and you suddenly realize that this person is no longer just "someone"- they're someone you love."
"Of all the people there are in your lifetime
You are the only one you can never lose
and the only one who will never leave."
