Ok, time to change my profile!! I have been widowed for a year, after 33 years in a good marriage. Don't let the widow part scare you off...I have adjusted very well. I am looking for a friend, companion, just someone to do things with.
I enjoy dancing, sunrises, sunsets, thunderstorms, nature walks, I like cooking when I have someone to cook for....senseless to cook for just one. I am a fairly active person and would like to meet someone who is not ready for the rocking chair yet.
I am the mother of two sons, the step-mother of one daughter and two sons, I am the grandmother of seven granchildren (some inherited, some biological).
I am very comfortable in shorts or jeans, but I do know how to dress to the nines. I'm just as comfortable in social settings as I am working in the garden, yard or doing repairs around the house. I am kind of an independent sort of person. (I am not a clingy woman that does not know how to do anything on her own.) Guess I just wasn't raised that way. I will try almost anything once and some things twice...especially if it is fun!!!
I am not the most beautiful person you'll ever see, but I have a heart the size of TEXAS (isn't everything bigger & better in Texas?) I am honest, trustworthy, and expect the same in others. I don't do head games. I am gainfully employed and dependent only upon myself....and have no desire to be fully dependent on anyone else.
I like day trips to interesting places, I appreciate the beauty of nature, I appreciate the historical sites, and I have many other interests. Are you still reading?????
There are two things I would like to do before I kick the bucket......1)bungee jump and 2)parasail. My kids will not do either so I guess I'll have to wait until my grandchildren are old enough to go with me. There are very few things I don't like to do, but the main thing I dislike is inactivity. Anyway, if your interested just send me a note and I will reply.
First Date
A daytime date would be a coffee shop, tucked away in a quiet corner in order to have good conversation. An evening date--a quiet restaurant to allow for good conversation, and then what happens, just happens.
