New to the area and I'm just looking to meet some cool people. I consider myself a "glass half-full" person....before I smash it to the ground in a pessimistic rage. I only know one joke, but it's the funniest one in the history of civilization. I've spent the last 6 years in Los Angeles, where I worked as a screenwriter/TV writer and also acted in two really bad "B-movies" that you can probably find in the $5 bin at your local Blockbuster.

I grew up in Alabama, so I decided to take a break, move back and I'm currently in the Ph.D program at UA in Communications/Political Science and teaching a lot of undergrad courses.

My friends would say that I'm a nice guy that's fun to be around...as long as I pick up the tab. I'm a big proponent of honesty, so my positive/negative qualities are as follows:

1.Fairly decent cook
2.Below average guitar player
3.Interested in the world around me
4.Made it to the final round of a game show.
5.Like to travel
6.Good kisser - which I've actually done with women
7.Sensitive, but only in moderation
8.Hate to make up the bed.
9.Have worn the same underwear two days in a row and probably will again.
10.Voracious reader
11.Like music, especially live performance
12.I can legally buy alcohol
13.Good dancer and I don't mind doing it.
14.Will not date any woman stronger than me, which leaves 43.2% of the female population still available
15.Financially responsible due to trial/error and a lot of mistakes
16.I'm always trying to improve myself
17.Like children, especially those that follow directions
18.Siamese twins freak me out
19.I've inhaled, but only 3 times since college
20.Lazy/bad at washing dishes
