I have been alone most of my life, largely because of anti-social tendencies. I had good friends in high school, but as awareness of the foolishness of drugs grew in me, the group socializing became tiresome. I felt the 'give' and 'take' of the friendships had nothing of value for me; and eventually made no effort to keep them.

I am just 'putting in time' in life, and must make an effort to battle feelings of 'what's the point'. I would love to settle down(somewhere warm, swimming daily in water as clear as it comes, using a computer for web, TV, communication, reading, relaxing, and enjoying meals) with that special lady and grow old entertaining each other, and seeking common interests until circumstances require an end(life(health)/love/whathaveyou), but I don't really expect to find someone so special as to have mutual beliefs, attraction, and understanding. Here's hoping...

It is my opinion that, if there is any point in life, it is to live it to be as happy/content as possible; with the idea being, if there is an 'afterlife', you look back without regrets or 'I should haves'. If there is one rule/notion/law I believe, it is the Golden one(That too can be interpreted differently).

A minimalistic lifestyle suits me, as my dislike for work is much greater than any pleasure the money provides. Once major purchases are made, I can live off of less than $400 a month 'comfortably'(Food, shelter, travel, taxes(despised), inet). My goals are to become more self-sufficient, while spending less and doing 'more'.

Spending 180 days a year in SW Florida is cheaper than Nova Scotia through the winter.(Most Food, Fuel and services cost twice as much in Canada).
