It's probably not the most popular view... but, I believe that a relationship should begin on a "friendship first" type of level... this is much easier situation without adding undo pressures or expectations. It would really be wonderful to find a special friend to begin with. If two individuals do "click" and things do develop into something much more... (in my view) that would be outstanding and the ultimate goal! I've always believed that the best relationships begin with a good friendship. I do have a variety of interests. Although I do not mind doing things by myself... it is always much more enjoyable to to share fun experiences with someone special. It is said, “you can never have too many friends”... while I tend to agree with this statement; I believe the quality of a friendship is more important than the quantity. The beginning of a new friendship is something to look forward to... each person has the ability to allow the relationship to progress into a level that they are comfortable with. Of course, if either person is not comfortable, then it won’t develop into much of a friendship ;-). If done properly, the process of getting to know someone can be fun, exciting and a rewarding experience. I really like to travel, so distance is not much of issue. I consider myself to be a normal, nice guy that is able to fit into most situations. I have the utmost respect for woman... I do have morals and believe or not, I also have some self-control :-). O.K....I know, I KNOW, this is the Internet, and SURE, you are suppose to believe everything on the Internet :-)..... “RIIIIIGHT”... but I am being sincere when I say: "I really do value honesty and the truth". I am aware that there is the opinion, that when people think that you are a “nice guy”, that “somehow” it implies that you are also boring... WELL, I like to say... "I plead the 5th Amendment"!!! O.K…. maybe, just maybe… I'm not "the life of the party" but I do like to get out, do things and go places. Let’s be honest... I know that a lot of women dream of that Prince Charming, Jet-Setting, Super-Model, Millionaire (with the 6 pack abs) type of guy... but guys like me are also nice (I hope). So, in the meantime, until that guy is courteous enough to show up :-); we could at least begin a friendship. If you ever wanted to go fishing* (*favorites), boating*, white-water rafting*, snow skiing*, water skiing, bowling*, tennis*, shoot pool*, skating*, basketball, amusement parks*, hiking, camping, jogging, anything outdoors, to travel, take a cruise, dance a little (o.k, no laughing ?, maybe just a giggle), see movies, visit museums, exhibits, take in a musical, ballet or opera (I am not adverse to a little culture), or if you want some company as you look upon the mountains, canyons, forests, waterfalls, thunderstorms, a clear night sky full of stars, a beautiful sunset, etc…. “THEN” by all means give my call... I am up for almost ANYTHING that is fun, pleasant and nice! As you can see, I do get enjoyment from a variety of activities but please, don't get the wrong idea; it is not like I am out constantly doing things... I also enjoy and spend a lot of time at home. The above activities are things that I like to do when I have the time.
To sum this all up... it would be my hope, that someday I would find a partner that would be my BEST friend! Ideally, we would do things together and help/support each other. If two people can obtain this achievement then everything else will occur naturally. I envision a woman that is a BEST FRIEND, companion, lover and my partner in Life!

We could go to a nice, cozy restaurant where we could have some good food and pleasant conversation. Afterwards, we could take a walk in the park or go for a drive and see some sites. It is my belief that communication is key to a good relationship... so, any situation where we could talk and get to know each other would be very helpful to begin with. Then if everything goes well, other types of activities and dates could be planned for the future.
