I'm currently working in retail and studying to become a police officer. I'm pretty open to just about any activities, and I don't mind hitting the clubs (although that's not really my thing, I'm not particularly good at dancing), but I also like staying at home and cuddling in front of a good movie. I'm a bit of a romantic. I'll go out of my way to make special moments. I tend to get the "oh you're such a great guy" spiel from my female friends, which is a curse, since most women don't seem to want that, heh. I was raised mostly by my mother, so I have a very stilted view of women, namely, as human beings and not objects.

I'm looking for a long term commitment. I'm not interested in one-night stands or just sex. Its getting to the point in my life where I want to meet someone and do those things I never got to do in a relationship, so what if they're cliched? Walks on the beach, staying home in front of the fireplace, just cuddling together on a cold day, giving my special girl breakfast in bed.

I really don't know what I would do as a "catch-all" first date. What might be great for one girl, would be totally boring for another. I like to talk to someone before I plan a date that we'd both enjoy.
