I have had many "impossible" dreams in my life: to see the Great Pyramids in Egypt, to sail through the Panama Canal, to dance the tango in Buenos Aires. I am lucky that I have had the opportunities to make all those dreams a reality.

Now my dream is to meet a man with whom to share my life . . .

I enjoy all types of dancing, going to concerts and live theater, visiting museums and historical sites, and reading about different subjects. I am very interested in languages and culture. I am liberal in my politics and in my religious views.

I have lived in Latin America and the Middle East and am fluent in Spanish and fair in Arabic. After being overseas for the past five years, I am happy to be back in the U.S. and ready to find love in Dallas!

I am looking to meet a mature man who is articulate and well-educated, who reads on a regular basis, and who shares some of my interests (see above). I am not much of TV-watcher, so it would be nice to meet someone who enjoys conversing on topics other than last night's TV programs.

I read the profiles carefully, and if I do not meet the description of the kind of person others are seeking, then I do not write to them. I expect if you are serious, then you would do the same with my profile. Furthermore, I do not consider messages such as "How are you today?" or "You are pretty" to be serious messages. A serious message would include information about yourself and some statement about what you think we might have in common. Some people on here want to be mysterious (e.g., they don't want to say their level of education or the kind of work that they do), but if you are serious about building a relationship with someone, then sharing information about yourself is foundational.

I would like to do something that would give us an opportunity to talk, share ideas, and get to know each other, for example, taking a walk in a garden or just meeting for drinks in a quiet place.
