I am so sick and tired of having to prove who I am. What I want most in life is to be me, no matter what, and have people love who I am. I value friends and family most in life. Without either, you are nothing. If you claim you're happy with that, then so be it, but the rest know you are truly alone. Noone wants to be alone.
I absolutely "LOVE" being a Dad, and to be honest, I have always loved children, wanted children, and knew that I would be a great father. Being a parent is one thing, but it takes patience and understanding to be a friend to each and every one of them. I am told that I wear my heart on my sleeve, and my life is often an open book. The way I see it, tell no lies, hide no lies, never feel "backed up" into a corner. The more lies you tell, the more you need to remember or cover with another. I don't like surprises, and usually know pretty quickly if that "spark" is there. I am a very good judge of character, and am very well aware that many of us like to embelish the truth "just a little" to hide our skeletons. Honestly, we have "ALL" done things we are proud of as well as regret, but it is how we accept them that matters. I have my flaws, but pride myself in trying to understand them and correct what I can. NOONE is perfect.
As far as hobbies or "likes", I absolutely love the water. Fishing and boating has and always will be a huge part of my life. I also love cooking for those who appreciate the effort, and believe it or not, I actually enjoy doing laundry as well! My son and my daughter are my world. Dads who do not play an active role in the lives of their children are worthless... no matter how unbearable their mother may be! It's the children that need all of the love in separation and divorce!
I must warn any and all, I "LOVE" to joke around and laugh out loud. A sense of humor is definitely a must. If you can't laugh at life, no need to respond. I see the humor in every aspect of life. Funny things happen every day if you take the time to see them.

I like the first dates to be fairly simple. Actually believe a "Happy Hour" is a great way to take the edge off, and let's face it, if the date isn't "right", you know you can end it at 7:00!
Besides, everyone knows a few drinks can take the edge off, and a few too many can show your true colors. Me, I'm a "happy" drunk if the urge hits me to tip a few, but by no means is it a necessity. Wings and beer, fine be me. Wine and candlelight, not really my bag. Each first date is different, and I'll bet that after a few calls or emails, we'd know what to make of it.
