In a lot of ways, I am like every one else. I like to get pedicures and "love my family and friends." But I am also different. I grew up on a large piece of land with a dog as big as a bear, and with all boys as we had a daycare at my house. We played in ponds, climbed trees, ate edible landscape, and rolled down hills in barrels. I am neither athletic nor a tomboy, but I enjoy doing "different" things, being outside, and even rolling down hills.

It's hard for me to meet people. I am an elementary school teacher, and mostly work with all women. This makes it tough because in the past I've noticed that I "grow" on people, and it is sometimes hard to meet people "out" for that reason.


My cat is fat and I love him. He acts like a dog.

Sunny days and mild weather make me happy. But I love the sound of the rain and never carry an umbrella.

The smell of the inside of a pepper is great.

I like people who do not take themselves too seriously. Uptight bores me.

Wine is delicious. Pizza is more about the sauce than the cheese.

I don't make my bed and I wear flip-flops as much as possible.

My mother jokes that I'll get married in my jeans but I do like wearing dresses.

Men who are ambitious and articulate are men for me.

Ambition has nothing to do with money. I do not make a lot of money but I make differences every day.

Most of the people I've dated in the past would be happy to talk to me or to bump into me- our breakups were amicable and we respect one another as people.

I secretly liked having my hair pulled as a child.

I have a lot of love in my heart to share.

But I don't love quickly and I don't like people who love me without knowing me.
