I would suggest that we meet somewhere public, but hidden away so that we can both feel comfortable. I love live music, but I'm an active listener, so live music doesn't make for good conversation, which is paramount for our first 'date'. Not sure it would actually be so much a date as it would be two mature adults sharing a couple of drinks and exchanging stories. If it goes beyond that and we become hang out buddies, all the better.
