I am a 38 year old single mother who's life is just beginning...the best years for me are here now. I have been divorced for 15 years and just recently my oldest child went off to college. It has been her and I for a very long time, so with her gone I am ready to venture out and see what is out there. I have a 16 year son who lives with his father and we visit as often as we can (with his schooling, sports and hanging out with friends, it doesn't give us much).

I work for a well known watch company in Austin in the finance department. I enjoy sports (playing more than watching) with soccer being my passion. I enjoy dancing, I started dancing when I was six, so it is in the blood. I listen to all sorts of music, so going to live shows are great. I have always enjoy a good rock concert, but I guess I have to face the music for I have realized, to sit through a heavy metal show just isn't as much fun as it use to be. Boy, I hate facing the fact that I am getting old! I also like playing pool, games (Dave & Busters), taking day trips to small towns, hanging with friends, and much, much more.

I was born in El Paso, but moved to Germany when I was six. I came back to the states at the age of 17 so the most important part of my life was overseas.
My heritage is German and Polish. My mother is German and my father is Polish so that makes me...a Polish-Kraut! I am very proud of my nationality and love to joke with it. I do not get offened by jokes and love hearing a good polish joke (or any kind of joke). I am very sarcastic and love to joke around. I am blunt and straight forward. I do not believe in sugar coating things. Basically not your typical women. More laid back and not materialist. If that is what you are looking for, I will tell you right now, you are looking at the wrong person. I love my jeans, boxer shorts and men pajama bottoms. Do not get me wrong, for I do know when to dress up and look nice, but come the weekend, give me my baseball hat, jeans and boots and I'm fine. I hate shopping, but love cooking.

I have three animals, consisting of two dogs (dachshund/chihuahua mix, pit bull/whippet mix), and a bird (a co-ckatoo...imgine that, they will not let me spell out what type of bird I have). Never thought I would have so many animals in my life, it just happened this way.

I would like to state what I am looking for. I am looking for someone around my age...not much older nor younger than me. I have noticed that I am attracted to men who are taller than me (sorry all guys who are 5'5", just cannot go there...) and average built. I try not be shallow and when reading this, that is probably one thing that comes to your mind about me, but we all have our likes and dislikes. I do believe that personality compatibility is the number one match in a relationship, but there must be some physical attraction there too. The person I would like to me, is someone who is fun, outgoing, knows when to let a women be independent yet there for support. They understand that my kids and job will come first and takes priority. I would like to find my ocean...my serenity. I do not believe in rushing into a relationship, but letting nature take it course and time. I strongly believe that you must be friends before you can ever be lovers.
