About Me
A preference for genetics to meet certain criteria is human nature. To deny this is to deny what drives the propagation of any species. Everyone has to have some kind of standards, and I don't think that I'm any different. On the same token I'm not particularly offended by those who don't message me back because apparently I don't meet whatever lofty standard they're looking for.
That probably sounds like I'm extraordinarily jaded, and perhaps you'd be correct in making that assumption.
I suppose in this section I'm supposed to write things like "Hey, come look at me, I'm vaguely interesting and can hold a decent, though perhaps somewhat nerdy conversation, maybe there are people out there who still find that desirable?"
But that always comes off as a little contrived no?
Or perhaps I should instead just follow the crowd and post up a profile with shirtless pics, a crappy car with a giant spoiler/muffler, and send messages that basically say "HAY BABY WANNA SEX". I often wonder about the usefulness of this approach considering how prevalent it is.
Most of my hobbies involve technology in some way, shape or form. If I can fix it, hack it, upgrade it, or disassemble it, then it's going to hold my interest.
I'm fairly passionate about music, though my tastes can be somewhat all over the place. I'm the type of person, that when I find a band/artist that I enjoy, I'll be inclined to track down all the releases and memorize most of the lyrics (If they're in English anyway). My tastes range from heavy metal, to Korean hip hop, to big band from the 20's, and a few of places in between.
I find writing/recording extremely satisfying (mixing, not so much) and I've been working on what's considered "nerdcore hip hop" for more than 3 years now. That being said, I'm always on the lookout for a partner in crime to possibly branch out into other styles and genres.
I get along better with little kids and animals more than I do most people. I'm not really sure what that says about me.
Sometimes I think maybe I'm too honest to deal with online dating.
People spout generalizations and then believe that they're the only exception to the rule. You can't have it both ways.
I look at a lot of profiles and can't help but notice some incredibly unrealistic expectations. I always chuckle when I see the equivalent of "you must be this tall to ride" in a profile. Yes I did speak about genetics earlier, but those of us who are vertically challenged can't do much to resolve that fact.
There seems to be a distinct lack in nerdy girls on this "largest dating site on the internet". I'm not saying I can't easily adapt to other facets of life, but it would be nice to find someone who understood the things I tend to ramble on about.
I really doubt anyone is going to read this far.
I'm not going to be anyone else other than who I am. So, f**k it, you know?
no regrets
