Hey, I'm an electrical engineering major at PSU, so that's exciting. I suppose I could use the degree to help save the world through solar energy or something, but I REALLY just want to figure out how to make Batman's electric cape work in real life so I can once and for all shut up everyone who thinks Superman's better (this argument has been ongoing since at least the third grade).

I guess I fit somewhat into the "non-traditional" student box. I spent the past four years working in a secure, professional environment that left me craving bigger challenges, so here I am. It's been an interesting road that's led me to continuing my education, and in the sense that it's shaped who I am, I don't consider a minute of my life wasted. Give me a few minutes, and I'll usually see the best side of a person or situation. I'm a bit of a nerd who enjoys a good beer, a good book, good music, good conversations and has a robust sense of adventure. I'd like to hike Mt. Hood once the odds of my dying the attempt become minimal (read: spring or summer). You're more likely to find me in a brewpub than a nightclub, but if you twist my arm I suppose I can Robot to 80's music with the best of them.

I consider myself pretty awesome overall and would like to meet someone with a one-in-a-million personality. Wit, humor, and warmth are golden. That said, I get along with almost everyone and I've met a couple of new friends on here and am always open to the idea of more. My spirituality in a nutshell is that all the prayer and piety in the world won't help you win the lottery if you don't buy the goddamn ticket. I don't think what you believe is necessarily as important as the fact that you think about these things once in awhile (and aren't a fountain of kooky rightwing dogma).

P.S.- I notice I tend to be drawn to girls with alternative tastes more often than not. Reading, good spelling and punctuation are also friggin' hot! If you know the difference between 'affect' and 'effect', voted for Obama, and can properly wield an apostrophe, let's get hitched, like, tomorrow. I think Voodoo Doughnut marries people for $25 (catering included!).
