Ever see that silly romantic episode of the TV show Friends where they claim that lobsters have a partner for life? and they go around their tank holding claws? I'm searching for my partner for life, my ultimate, one & only, to walk through life with, holding hands.

Although sometimes a little weary from looking, I must admit the search can be interesting, funny, challenging and then let's not forget exasperating.

I'd like to meet a mature man who has a good idea of what he wants in life. Nothing is written in stone and chemistry is important above all else... you never know exactly what will spark that chemistry, no specific physical attributes guarantee it... and it's not always an instantaneous lighting bolt, but a little something should be there. Looking for that special guy who'll be Mr. Wonderful for me, not necessarily Mr. Perfect.

About myself: people say I'm an attractive, intelligent, caring, warm, fun-loving, dedicated person. (I think I would like to agree... and I'm modest too!) I'm looking for the same qualities in my guy. I'm a person of my word and value the same trait in others. Willing to invest yourself in a relationship, be dedicated? Expect the same in return? Recognize the need for give and take? That's what I'd like to find. Being "wined and dined" is great fun, I appreciate it, but I know that it's not the bottom line.

My interests: many of the usual things...travel, movies, music, reading, dining out, long walks, shopping (I am a woman after all), TV, cuddling on the sofa, romantic evenings at home, an occasional trip into "the city" or visit to a museum, exhibit or show. I enjoy traveling but would love an adult travel companion. Family and children are very important too. Bungie jumping and safari trips are not on my list of activities. I can ice skate and roller skate a little, have held a tennis racket and put on skis. I can ride a bike and lean into a turn on a motorcycle. I can set up & keep a travel itinerary, deal with clients, read a map and a cited court case. I can read bedtime stories and am a great soccer mom. I like elegance, self confidence (not arrogance), ... a subtle sexy side, soft AND passionate kisses, HUGS (especially bear hugs)... and most of all to be by my man's side... hand in hand.

Let's say what I would HOPE for on a first date : meet for a cup of coffee, a drink, or even an ice cream, with easy conversation, laughter and discovering we have a few things in common... then move on to dinner - someplace quiet enough to talk, getting to know each other, feeling comfortable with each other. An after dinner walk would be wonderful, hand in hand, maybe arm in arm, ending with a soft, gentle kiss goodnight.
