To save you some time, I posted my answer to " why would anyone want to date you?
They really shouldn't.
If they knew better, they'd stay away.
I am emotionally distant.
I am so atypically male that it isn't funny. but still i laugh.

I don't have much time for them.
I often won't make time for just anyone.
I am far too weird for most women.
I am completely uninterested in chasing anyone.
I am perfectly happy being alone as i am rarely lonely.
Having said that, i am perfectly happy reflecting on a sad moment.
If I were a woman ( and many believe that I am or perhaps WAS ) I wouldn't date me.
If you still wish to say hello, then realize that I don't "do" chat. I will send a couple of emails. AFter that, we meet in the real world. it's best that way. If we end up nothing more than people who smile at each other when we see one another, then that would be perfect. If it leads to something more, then we'll see how that works out.

Probably go for a walk in the park. The coffee thing is always good. Maybe browse together through a book store to see what our interests are- that would start a discussion.
Sometime after that, for the first real authentic date date, It could be a light dinner and drinks. Simple.
i would tend to want to limit first meeting to 20-30 minutes : set a pre-arranged time limit that we both agreed upon. have the get out of the date free cell phone call.
If we hit it off even a little, then we could continue it the next time.
