While I'm not the best at describing myself - I'll give it a shot.

I'm a family girl. I have a wonderful 6 year old son who means the world to me. He's the only guy in my life that I can trust to not break my heart, and he's always there for me when I need him. I know the idea of a single mom scares a lot of guys away - so I'm sure you will close my profile if that is the case. If you aren't scared away, it's good to note that I am not looking for a dad/replacement dad for my son - he has one already. I'm only here for myself.

I have a very busy but rewarding career - I run my own photography business. I am also formally trained in graphic design which still plays a strong role in my current business. I love what I do (which not many can say), and while it doesn't afford me the most time in the world for social activities - I am truly happy with it.

My friends would probably describe me as intelligent, funny, witty, sarcastic, caring, generous and determined. I am both a girly-girl and a tomboy when the situation arises, and there is very little I don't enjoy. Concerts, music, movies, tv, board/card games, shopping, going out with friends, traveling, and the list goes on. I'm also a bit of a nerd, and I tend to get easily excited about new toys - computers, camera equipment, cars, etc.

When in a relationship I love quirky things like reading the paper together, going grocery shopping, playing Chess or having a nap on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I am smoke and drug free and I expect the same from the guys I date. I drink socially, which is still very rare for me.



What I am looking for in a guy -

This is a tough one. I'm picky, but I've noticed that my tastes are changing. I can find many different guys attractive for a number of reasons - but there are certain things I look for. I like tall guys (5'11" and above), sense of humour is HUGE! (if you can't make me laugh, you won't keep me interested) and between the ages of 25-34.

Things I also like in guys - open-minded, friendly and able to hold good conversation, not shy around people (because I rarely am), has career/life goals and is working towards them, someone who isn't clingy or needy, has their own friends, well-mannered, enjoys many different things - including the arts, someone who has a car (I think driving should be a shared duty if possible).

I'm not looking for guys who still hang out at bars/clubs every weekend and get drunk. I'm not looking for guys who never plan on committing. I'm not looking for guys who send me an email with only one sentence (I want substance!).

I don't mind being single and I'm not desperate to jump into anything serious right away, but I'm willing to meet people and see how things go.

I'm not against the whole dinner/coffee idea, because I love good conversation. However, if you can come up with an original date idea it will probably impress me much more. And no, I don't consider extreme sports a good idea for a first date.
