As I go along the path I've come to realize that to be grateful is the greatest gift one can give oneself. I have a wonderfilled life with a great family, loyal and true friends and a sense of self that allows me to awake with a smile and ready to meet the challenges with a positive, proactive attitude.

Our first date would be one to remember. I'd knock on your door, a little nervous with anticipation. As you open it you'd see a huge smile and then the bouquet of flowers I'd bought for you. You'd ask me in and then I'd help you on with your coat as we head out for a night of laughter, conversation and a hint of romance. We go for a drink at a quaint little pub and then take a walk somewhere along the riverbank. We'd see a falling star, both make a wish and then tease each other trying to guess each other's. We wouldn't tell however because then they wouldn't come true. We'd begin to discover the wonder of each other and then head for your place. I'd walk you to your door, politely ask for a soft gentle kiss, say goodnight and then wait to be sure you inside safe and sound. I'd call to let you know I'd arrived home safely myself and ask if you'd like to perhaps go to see me sing at the club the next Monday night. We say goodnight and then fall asleep dreaming of our next encounter and smile as we drift off to dreamland.
