I lost my best friend after 27 years of marriage to cancer in October 2007. I don't like being alone, so this single thing takes some readjustment, after being out of it for all that time. I do enjoy dancing (Hint, hint...I can dance...waltz, foxtrot, rumba, cha cha, tango, meringue, EC/WC swing, nightclub 2 step, country 2 step, triple 2 step, polka, square dancing, and I have just started salsa, hustle, & mambo), the arts, theater, dining out, cooking, trying out new recipes, civic activities, mini vacations...(traveling, road trips, and cruises are always enjoyable anytime, plus I have a current passport!) My musical tastes are from classical to country to pop, and anything that has a good dance beat to it.

My, my, where to begin about me! I am looking for someone to continue sharing that life with who has good character, morals, a positive attitude about life, and who is a Christian committed to Jesus Christ as their anchor in all of life's ups and downs. I am a very stable person with a wonderful and blessed life. I am secure with myself and where I am in life. I am a happy and positive person, I love life and try to live it to the fullest. I have a big heart filled with lots of love waiting to pour out to that one special woman. I am not looking for someone to just pass time with. Life is too short, and love is too precious to waste. I want to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. Loving her with all my heart and soul. Someone by my side to share life with, experiencing all the joy and happiness as well as the sorrows and sad times. Sharing, fulfilling hopes, and dreams together. A constant companion to encourage me, love me and walk beside me, as I do those same things for her. I want a woman in my life that also wants and needs these things in a relationship. A woman who is ready to be loved in a way she has never been loved before. I am not looking for someone I can live with...but someone "I can't live without!!"... My BEST FRIEND for the rest of my life, and while I realize this is a process that is going to take a while, and that God has that special lady planned for me, and I know better than to hurry Him along, so in the meantime I plan to dance a lot.

At present, dancing with beautiful ladies who have a passion for dancing is the thrill in my life. I am an easy going type of person who enjoys watching sunrises/sunsets, ducks on a pond out my back door, taking long walks with someone special, like to fish/hunt, watching wildlife from my back door, listening to instrumental music (classical, pop, country, religious, dancing music), reading a good book, cooking, yoga, kenpo (martial arts), watching thunderstorms, listening to the rain, giving/getting massages, as well as the activities listed above. Pretty simple, right! Lets start simply with just brunch/lunch/dinner or just drinks and talk our way through this since we should know how to eat or drink, and conduct a conversation---we can fill in the blanks later if need be, besides, its not any fun to eat or drink by yourself!

I love three day weekend romantic getaways off of the beaten path, surprises and just being made to feel like a real man. I also love to spoil the one who spoils me, sharing different foods, trying new recipes, cooking together, going on wine tours, sampling new wines, and showing off my beautiful dance partner on the dance floor as we waltz, 2 step, swing, or tango. I would love to find that one special person that I can connect with and settle down again, someday. I miss love, being in love, holding, caressing, cuddling, the scent of a woman, the soft touch of a woman, looking into her beautiful eyes, taking in her beauty, having someone to care for, and to share stories with. I would like to meet a nice non-smoking woman that is still able to enjoy the pleasure's of a man at her side or in her arms as we look into each others eyes. I'm interested in having a special woman in my life to do thing's with (dancing/dancing lessons/dancing partner, travel, dining, cooking, baking (I do a bread pudding with whiskey sauce that is to die for), conversation, going to black tie events, wine tours, wine tasting, shows) would be wonderful, but, since I have delegated that seeking/finding that special lady for me to God, I'm going to take my time to work on my "bucket list" projects first.

Would you like to join me in that journey and see what is around the corner..I'll bet we could have some fun and laughter on the way, as we do part 2 of life! A good attitude with goals, and a passion for living is ageless. Speaking of ageless, most people guess my age at somewhere between 10 to 15 years younger than my actual age...I guess I'm doing some of the right things...or maybe it's the copious use of moisturizers!

My first date would be coffee/dessert or brunch or lunch, with conversation to see if we have any possibility to fill in the blanks to make a second date a possibility or we could go to a mall and just walk, talk, and shop OR, we could go dancing. This thing called dating is not going to kill us if we just talk, drink, walk, talk some more, maybe hold hands, dance while we look into each others eyes. I'd like to think we still have enough of a radar set working between our ears to discern whether there is a possibility of a second date. The bottom line is, its not any fun to do things by yourself, and if you're shopping its nice to have a second opinion as to what looks good or why something just isn't you--I know that I sure ask for opinions when I shop! If you dance or love to dance, you definitely will get extra points. Humm... I would like to go dancing somewhere with you, and as we dance the crowd becomes fixated onto us and they marvel as we perform our steps in perfect rhythm, and as we become as one on the dance floor, everyone turns to watch...us...as we look very good together. I want to watch your face radiate happiness as you and I dance across the floor, watch how you move, watch as you smile...see your expressions. I want to watch as you come back to me, to feel your touch as I reach out to hold your hand, or put my arms around you as the song comes to an end. I want to listen to your voice as you and I softly talk to each other while looking into each others eyes.
