About Me
Hi, My name is Jeff. I am 55 years old, 5'11" tall, 185 lbs with a fit, trim build. Five years ago I retired in a financially secure situation after a 25 year career in Illinois prisons. I worked primarily in the areas of social services, personnel, labor relations and inspections/audits.
I am interested in most sports, outdoors, and physical activities such as tennis, football, basketball, baseball, handball/raquetball, hiking, bicycling, running lifting weights, canoeing, horseback riding etc. Other interests include music, traveling, ebay, antique malls/junk shops, art fairs, 50s retro items, landscaping, movies, concerts. Much of my free time is spent managing 2 small businesses those being buying/selling vintage vinyl LPs/45s and 50/60s eyeframes.
Living a healthy lifestyle is part of my daily regimen. I exercise several times a week and eat a healthy diet most of the time. A woman who does not follow this type of lifestyle would probably not be a good match for me.
Concerning personal traits, I consider myself to be kind, considerate, confident, straightforward, easy to know, funloving, strong minded and affectionate.
I am seeking a woman with common attraction and interests who is fit, young for her age, practices a healthy lifestyle, has a zest for life with a delightful sense of humor, is kind, affectionate, adventuresome and sincere. My ideal match would love the outdoors and various sports/physical activities. Since I am retired, finding a companion who is also retired or has ample free time would be a plus but not a necessity. I would like to do some traveling and finding a woman with the same interest and means would be appealing.
My divorce is in process and should be final by June 2008. My photos were taken summer/winter 2007.
First Date
I think the best first date is having a coffee in a coffee shop. It is very relaxed and low key with an atmosphere that lends itself to open communication. Whether or not there should be a second date, I think becomes readily apparent.
