When I’m not writing I’m in motion, told I have a finger in every pie. I’ve led treks in the Himalayas, white-water canoed on the Chattooga, rock-climbed in Wales, ridden elephants. But I appreciate the routine aesthetics of everyday life just as much and the adventure and thrill.

I’ve been described as serene, tolerant, energetic, lively, and creative. I will go to the mat to help or defend someone I love or who I think is being wronged. I am sometimes too introspective, which probably means I’d do best with a pragmatic realist, someone to help ground me when I begin to float into the wild, blue yonder. In return, he can benefit from my insights, acceptance, and drive. In the meantime, I'd be delighted to spend time with someone who shares my heightened and sometimes wacky sense of fun.

I am a hands-on kind of person, and favor originality and independence over the prestige factor and (except in chess), candor over calculation.

If you can figure out why I have a tattoo of “10°47N 106°42’E” if and when we meet, I’ll buy you a beer. (No hints!)
