My financial advisor described me as having gumption. Co-workers said I am focused, yet in my personal life I can be scattered. My best friend's brother said I am a "take-charge kinda gal". The teenagers across the street commented that sometimes I'm "really out there". My late husband said I could be grumpy in the morning. A close confidant says I am a friendly person but not easy to get to know (?). My friends sometimes roll their eyes at me...

Personal integrity and connections are important to me. Feedback is important to me. I believe if someone does a particularly good job, make a point to tell his (or her) boss. If you are thinking something nice about a person, even a stranger, verbalize it to him/her.
I can be supportive and I can be critical but I sometimes need help with gentleness. I can laugh at my foibles, but at other times take life a little too seriously. I have strong emotions but can be calm in crisis situations. I look inward a lot. I am aware of forces greater than myself but am not too sure what they are. I think Kharma has a strong influence in my life.

I am a decent gardener but a sketchy housekeeper although my friends tell me I have a comfortable home. ( Hah! Obviously they haven't looked in the closets or under the beds). I like to cook, particularly if there is someone to dine with and to help me clean up afterwards. I give money to beggars and carry food in my vehicle for stray animals. Two dogs have me as their human.

My dominant life-style is casual. I prefer to socialize one-on-one or in small groups. Crowds tend to tire me. I enjoy contemplative people. For example, fishing is good. You can talk or comfortably enjoy the silence while doing something productive like catching dinner...or not. I like getting out in the woods and hunting wild edible mushrooms, but in my experience it can be a solitary activity and it would be nice to change that. I have friends I get together with for food and animated conversation, but an evening of dinner and dance or theater, or a presentation at the nature center is not out of the question. I usually prefer to watch movies at home, but a night at the cinema with a tub of greasy popcorn is a fun change.
I am looking to expand my social circle, try new activities and enjoy some new people. And if that very special person comes along, all the better.

I would like to meet a new person some place quiet and casual and neutral. Hopefully a place where we would both be comfortable. This is something we can discuss and decide on together. Simple food might be nice but not nescessary. Perhaps a little wine if it turned out to be that kind of place. Or maybe some sunshine and fresh air. The most important part is feeling alive
