Let's start by dispelling some popular misconceptions. First, I'm walking proof that you don’t have to be an overbearing loudmouth to have women falling all over you. Second, my savvy style, toned body doesn't mean I'm not a nerd at heart. Third, blondes don't actually do it better, so don't bother trying to convince me otherwise.

Most of the time, I can't imagine anything more enjoyable than a motorbike ride on an open road along a river, through quiet woods, past open fields, with the city skyline and all of its bustle and burden fading into the distance behind me.

I have fun on my own terms, though I'll still try anything at least once. I'm a morning person unless staying up late means a chance to see a meteor shower, untouched snow, or a Quantum Leap rerun.

I believe in taking care of myself. You should too, because as open-minded as I am, I don't date horrible gelatinous blobs. It's appealing to live responsibly, I think, not in the party-pooper kind of way, but with a mind to the betterment of society.

I'm honest, pragmatic, and straightforward, and I respect women too much to lead you on. In return, you can spare me from drama and emotional hysterics.

Life, and everything that fills it, is always more about the journey than the destination.

Would I call myself successful? Not yet. I don't define myself by my job, but it positions me right where I want to be. Way, way down the road, I'm going to be able to tell one of those inspiring and unusual stories about following a passion.

My stay in Edmonton is indeterminate but with a determined effort to make the most of it – exactly the sort of time that's best shared with a like-minded companion.

But enough about me.
