Hi Married for 1st time Feb/06 separated since July/07. Awaiting a divorce because of abuse. My ex and I haven't lived together since July/07, and he's roughly 3000 miles away! I have a son with my ex who, despite what I want, isn't with me. I'm a good mother and I love my son more than anyone will ever know.
Despite my circumstances, I'm still a one man at one time, type of woman, and until my divorce is a done deal, I'm currently just interested in friendships that are strictly platonic. I'm not looking for anything casual/sexual. I'm not here to be someone's "hang out (fock) buddy", "activity partner", nor "intimate encounter", if you're looking for that, seek elsewhere.
I'm a Christian by choice. While not extremely devout, I do earnestly try to live according to my faith in God, and His word.
I take offense to those who select "Christian" as their religion, when they either aren't Christian at all, or they have a misconception of what it is. Or, they think they're whatever faith they're parents/family is. Newsflash, it's a personal choice and personal commitment. You aren't saved through someone else. So unless Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and you are walking with the Lord, we wont mesh, and you're wrong if you think you're going to get anywhere significant with me other than polite small talk. :)
Other than that, I'm not a typical woman. I don't turn into a psycho b**ch once a month. I'm not a shopaholic. I'm not all about clothes, hair, and make-up. I like to clean. I like to cook. I can enjoy being around people I know well, at times, but I prefer keeping to myself, less frustration and heartache! I'm patient, kind hearted, forgiving, and upbeat for the most part, just don't stomp on my toes, or you're asking for it! ;) I'm smart, and opinionated and I can be stubborn. haha, so sue me! :p I have a serious intellectual side, but also like to act silly and play dumb on occasion. I know how to have fun! I don't have flawless skin and a "hot" body, but what I've got is mine and I love it! I'm a mixture of positives and negatives, and I try to eliminate the negatives or keep them down, as best I can. haha
I so far haven't held a real paying job, not because I'm lazy but because I have different desires and because I haven't found a job that interests me. If that bothers you, you're reading the wrong profile LOL!

Last, but not least...
If you're overly jealous, paranoid, delusional, chauvinistic, dominating, irresponsible, childish on a regular basis, or extremely lazy, we wont mesh! We also wont mesh if you're a superficial materialistic person who thinks life is all about academic accomplishments, material possessions, how well off you are, your friend circle, or how hot you think you or anyone else is.
If you're compassionate, protective, honest, smart, witty, fun, thoughtful, generous, humble, patient, tolerant, forgiving, understanding, etc, we'll have more in common and hopefully we'd get along.
BE AWARE, if you're into meeting quick, look elsewhere. No matter how good a person you think you are, I don't know you and we've never met, so please don't expect to meet me after one or a few messages. You can't always tell how good or bad a person is any better off-line and if you're going to feel a connection with someone it's going to be more intellectual, than physical. Far as I'm concerned, if you're in such a hurry to meet in person, it's more for you to confirm whether or not you feel physically attracted. I'm into lasting relationships and while mutual physical attraction is important, it's not the only component needed for a truly fulfilling, lasting relationship. Me personally, I am not satisfied unless the person I'm with has at least a modicum of intelligence, and common sense, and a whole lot of heart! If that isn't you, we wouldn't be compatible.
Just a thought: Be sure the constructive criticism or truth you're doling out, is done at the right time, and with tact!
