I used to list off a lot of the things here that I thought were good points about what makes me the person I am ... but then realized that nobody really believes that stuff anyway. I mean really, everybody says the same thing, and is a person going to say bad things about themselves in an interview. I think not.

Some of the things that might set me apart from others are as follows:
- Have a completed education, and am working in my field of study.
- Have a career in engineering, and work for a reputable engineering and manufacturing company here in Edmonton. My focus is in crude oil treating
- Own my house cars, and independently support my life-style
- Love animals, and have two Boxers (one male fawn, one female brindle)
- Have a serious interest in martial training, of which I have been actively involved in for almost ten years. I've studied various hand-to-hand combat forms, as well as Japanese sword, stick, and bow. I am entertaining the idea of competing next year, but would be just as happy to achieve a few belts and one day teach.
- Have an artistic nature. I used to draw when time permitted. One day when life is a little less busy, and I have less important things on the go, I will start again.
- Half of my life has been spent living in the city, the other half country. So, I am able to clean up for a night on the town, or get dirty in the yard. Being that I grew up in the country, I do not consider camping to be rolling up in an RV. If I say I'm going camping, I'm getting a suitable backpack, sleeping bag, tarp and rope, a Coleman stove (or sufficient matches and a hatchet to make a fire to cook food), and if you're lucky ... a tent. If you want fresh fish, I'll bring a rod, catch it, clean it, and cook it for you as we go. :)
- Did cry at the end of 'Old Yeller', and almost did when the wife died in the new Disney movie, 'UP'. What the heck, I'll even go so far as to admit I have 'Grease' one AND two, and 'Dirty Dancing' as part of my movie collection.
- Have no vices (NO substance use or abuse whatsoever) If I get a headache I don't even take Tylenol, I drink water.
- Enjoy cooking, and am looking forward to learning how to make cedar-plank salmon.
- Enjoy a variety of different music. I can listen to hiphop in the morning, rap at lunch, rock at dinner, and classical before bed. Country is not at the top of my list, but I will enjoy the odd country song here and there. Karaokee country is fun :)

All in all, I like to think that I'm a normal, healthy guy. I don't like to waste time, and find value in accomplishment and doing good for others.

What I am looking for is somebody who is reliable and responsible, who can take care of themselves, and is self-sufficient but doesn’t mind the guy paying for the date(s). It really should go without saying that I want somebody who is honest. When it comes to religion really anything goes as I am very open to all ideas (no to be confused with my being soft and not having my own opinions as I assure you I do). Being comfortable in an indoor and outdoor environment is important as one should be able to function in both. I do want somebody that is active and healthy, and that leads a healthy way of life. That doesn’t mean that you should live at the gym or eat only healthy foods, but just that you are conscientious about how you take care of your body.
