- I am a long haul truck driver searching for a female best friend. I am a recovering divorcee - I decided it wouldn't hurt to put myself out here again, despite my skepticism for on-line dating. I'm very happily single, and not looking for anything super-serious, but I wouldn't mind meeting someone who can hold an intelligent conversation and who likes to have fun. If Miss Wonderful sweeps me off my feet in the process, that's just an added bonus. I'm quite sure I'll know her when I meet her.

Me in a nutshell: Outgoing, irreverent, optimistic, and a bit of a smart ass. Tender hearted to a fault and very passionate about the things I believe in and the people I love. My likes: college football, live music,sleeping in to the sound of rain, NPR, BBQ and bonfires, Big Bang Theory and Big Love, but I'd rather read a good book any day I have an awesome family and the coolest friends around - life is good!Friends would describe me as quirky, intelligent, spiritual, philosophical, silly, brave, passionate, a bit unconventional with a respect for the traditional. That's one of the reasons I have them as friends!

- I know I should go more into detail but my inner voice says that it will take far more than a few words on a website to convey the real me or discover the real you - my hopes are very high to find true love - if I have to go through 100 women to find that "1" isn't all the time and effort more than worth it?

the cat pics are of Maggie - she is my truckmate - she wasn't too happy to be in the truck at first but now when I get started she jumps in her seat and looks around - then does her duty as a cat and goes to sleep for several hundred miles sleep sleep sleep - such a hard kitty life!

A word about my profile song - we have but a short time here - some days are good some not so much - the most important lesson I have is remember to cherish - every moment - every person - take just this moment to cherish a single breath for that is how your life began with a single breath and you never know when the last one may come - so remember to cherish - tell someone you love that you love them and then - tell them again

So - where to begin? Longhaul truckdriver - recently divorced and in desperate need pf TLC - I am not likely to be what you expect - funny, kind and completely non-obedient - I say what I think and sometimes think about the oddest things - if you don't like cats and music don't even think about it - must be able to hold your own in spirited discussion and love to love - completely unable to explain myself in less than several hours - and how interesting could I be if I could?

Don't care if you have kids but prefer none to some - don't get me wrong I love them but have already done that and is time to go onto a life without them - of course the right girl and it won't matter - and YES I said girl! - you may be a grown woman but if not a girl at heart... - well you know what I mean.

I love the beach - the mountains - the desert and everything in between - looking to experience the fullness of life with someone special - could it be you? Nothing to loose by talking - worst thing is we make a new friend or learn another thing about ourselves and another person we did not know

If you made it this far then maybe you can deal with me - I am difficult to a fault but also loving and kind - have been on a journey of self discovery and change this past year and feel ready to begin again

A first date is a chance to see someone face to face and talk - something casual but fun - I want to get to know you not see a movie or go where there is loud music - if we meet I want to experience you not the place we meet
