I’d like to think that there is a hint of complexity to who I am. I grew up painfully shy to the core. I’ve become quite outgoing in the last few years, but sometimes I can still revert to that shyness that enveloped me for so many years. I love to get out and have fun but I’m equally as happy with a night in curled up watching a movie. I like to glam it up once in a while, but on the other hand there’s nothing quite like getting outdoors and getting muddy once in a while.

I tend to go into things with my whole heart and I’m a very loyal and devoted person. The people who are close to me mean the world to me and I’m not afraid to say it or show it. I am a hopeless romantic at heart who wants someone who wouldn’t be afraid to hold my hand in public. I know that there are times to be responsible and times to let loose and have a little fun, and I like to keep a balance of both - I’d like to find a guy who is mature but knows how to have fun.

I have a passion for the written word and for music… both have been a huge part of me my whole life. Music and writing are amazing forms of expression and I think it is inspiring to see the different perspectives that are taken on this expression. I love all sorts of music and don’t tie myself down to just one kind. Whatever catches my ear, soothes my soul, creates the itch to dance, moves me or inspires me, it’s all good to me! If I hear it and like it, I’ll play it again. I’m also a huge movie buff as well and I watch all sorts of movies. I love a good scary movie, especially zombie movies. I love to laugh, and there are lots of times when I get into a good action movie as well. I also love all the old 80’s classics that I watched when I was a kid. If you know the movie Monster Squad you get bonus points =D.

I may not be conventionally fit in the eyes of the world - ie., yes I’m overweight - but that in no way means that I’m lazy or inactive. When I actually have the time I love to get outdoors. I enjoy traipsing through the woods for the afternoon or going camping for a couple of days. And by camping, I mean in a tent - trailers do not count as camping!! Also enjoy going to the gym to workout when I can find the time as well. If you have a problem with the way I look, move along. Yes I am a big woman, but there is so much more to me than that and I hope that you will see beyond that to see the real me. Being big does not make me any less of a person and does not diminish my personality in any way. I’m trying to lose weight, but my focus is on my health, not what anyone else thinks of me. I’m happy in my own skin and anyone who doesn’t like it, well then you don’t have to talk to me.

Over the last couple of years I was a bit of a workaholic, mostly out of necessity and then continued out of habit. I recently transitioned to working just one job (which is more of a career), daytime hours only. I love having so much free time and am always looking for something fun to do with my time, and it's always great to have some company. I’d like to meet someone who is genuine, fun loving, and who has a big heart as well. I know I’m far from perfect... but perfect means boring :P... and I’m not the ideal body type, but maybe there’s someone out there who could like me for me! So come on, what have you got to lose!
