Hey there! Thanks for taking a look. These profiles all sound the same after a while, but I think it's only fair to give a brief overview of "me" so here you go: I have 3 adult step-children and 1 grandbaby! :-) My husband, the kids' dad, died suddenly last August. He was not my soulmate, but he was my best friend for more than 15 years and I miss him. I loved having a mate and being a wife. I want that again and then some.

I do not do any of the following: snore; use drugs, or abuse alcohol; cheat; lie; steal; whine; buy designer clothes; dye my hair; watch soaps; or obsess about anything :-) I have never been treated, or needed treatment, for any physical, mental, or emotional problems.
I am intelligent, sweet and kind, resourceful, and always smiling.
I am even-tempered, honest, open, self-sufficient, and hard-working.
I have done very few things in my life that I regret.

Important: I am very affectionate and physical. I need someone who likes to be touched, kissed, and generally adored on a daily basis. If you are too ticklish, we are probably not a good match :-)

OK - about my hair :-) Since so many of you have commented, I feel the need to elaborate here. I generally wear my hair long - almost to my waist. However, about 3 years ago, I cut it off to donate it to Wigs for Kids. I found short hair to be very convenient, so I kept it for a while. After much urging from family and friends, I am now in the process of growing it out - a character building experience to be sure. The two black and white photos are from a few years ago - my hair is up in a twist. The others are from this year. What you see is what you get. No surprises ;-)

As far as my ideal guy, intelligence and a sense of humor are my highest priorities. I am looking for someone who is sane, hard-working, kind to people and animals, thoughtful, family oriented, physically fit and active, adventurous, and beautiful inside and out.
Also, you must believe that true love and soulmates exist.

In the interest of honesty and "getting on with life" here is what I want: I want to wake up every day and think "I am so blessed to have this beautiful person in my life."
Equally important, I want that person to feel the same way about me. I know I am not everyone's idea of "beautiful," but there are a few of you out there who will look at my photos here and think "WOW!" and I will think the same about you. That is where we begin.

Ok - difference here between first meeting and first date - at least I think so. For a first meeting, I need to feel safe. You have to admit this is a strange way to meet someone :-) Meeting for coffee, brunch, lunch etc. at a public place seems appropriate. If we like each other and want have a "real" date, then I'll try anything: A hike at a state park with a picnic lunch. A local sporting event. Skiing/snowboarding. Horseback riding. Trip to Barnes & Noble. The aquarium, science museum, or art museum. Boston. NYC. Las Vegas. Sky diving? You get the idea.
