I should start by saying I have been told I have an odd sense of humor, a bit sarcastic, a lot off-the-wall, which my dad calls "European." My friends call it quirky. I'm looking for someone with the same, as that seems to be what attracts me most to someone.

I am 100% Belgian. Moved here when I was 4.

I am short and smallish.

I'm an animal lover. I have two cats and a dog and we're a package deal, so please like animals! If you're allergic, I pass out Claritin samples at the door. ;0) I am totally gaga about my dog, as a fair warning. He is NOT my pseudo "child," but if I'm dating a guy and was hanging out at his place significantly, the dog would have to come with because it's not fair to leave the dog alone for hours. Or, hey, you can hang out at my place. ;0)

I speak French, English, and some broken Spanish.

I am mostly conservative.

I am low-maintenance and not very materialistic.

I walk four or five miles a day with my dog.

I prefer making dinner at home and watching movies together rather than traveling or partying. I do like going out to eat or having drinks at local pubs. Live music is fun, too.

I prefer reading to t.v.

I'm a Sox fan (White, not Red ;) and a Bear's fan, though I prefer to watch baseball rather than football.

My ideal guy?

Sense of humor similar to mine. Likes to keep in shape, read, be active. Has goals, a job, an education, and good family relations. Someone who's NOT the life of the party or a party animal. Attractive to me. More conservative, acts like a man, no active piercings. Has his life pretty much together... Must love animals. No addictions, please. And I know this will ruffle feathers, but no motorcycle fanatics, please. Personal issue. :0( That's about it. :0)

I'm not into taking things too quickly, so I probably won't want to hang out with you tomorrow yet ;-) I'd like to e-mail a bit, get to you, IM, and then meet to see if we have stuff to talk about and things in common.

Shorter first dates are good. Get to meet each other, see if we click, etc. Dinner, coffee, or lunch somewhere all seem good to me.
