I have enjoyed many things in life, some subtle, while others more profound. Playing kickball in the park, settling our differences by way of "rock, paper, scissors" suits me to a tee. I don't think it's necessary to keep score, but if you want, you can. I think there are better things to do with time. I have sky dived, para sailed and snorkeled; hiked the big ones, small ones, love rafting, flower arranging, schlepping through Goodwill and through shops in Switzerland. I enjoy dinner on the run, dinner with candles, love white table cloths, ironed pillow cases; I've slept in castles and huts, love rock bands, high school marching bands, children's choirs, theater and enjoy reading historical fiction during my seconds of down time per week. Curiosity abounds and I hope you are intrigued by things you don't know much about. I have dated many and am now much more selective. Now I date only if I think there is a sincere, mutual interest in each other. The uber-dating and the Pollyanna in me has grown bored and moved on, taking most of the dating world with her. I do not believe good relationships just appear out of sheer want or entitlement. Without the careful investment of time and the right kind of attention, I know a healthy relationship will never materialize. Otherwise, why bother? I am comfortable with myself and have no trouble filling my days with interesting things to do. I am truly happy and find it easy to be around most people. I know dating does hold the risk of someone screwing this up, but I have learned...I doubt it will happen and I cannot imagine adding a new chapter to the dating annals. I'm sure I've covered all the angles....even the obtuse.

Meet at Safeway. Yup, in the produce department. I will drop a head of lettuce on the floor and as it starts to roll, we both reach down to pick it up, we crack heads and voila!!!...we're seeing stars and I guess that means we're off...or something like that... How's that sound? pppfffttt!

Second Date: There won't be one if there aren't grins on the first one, along with loads of substance. How about a Jazz club or some time in Wash Park, or hiking with camera in hand, or how about a fencing lesson? Oh wait, did you want to come along?
