I am an Army Medic, currently deployed to Iraq. (Hopefully home for Christmas.) I love my job (at least the medical portion), and intend to keep working in the medical field once I get out. I am currently working on a nursing degree, but my long-term goal is to go to med school.

I love to travel, to see new places and meet interesting new people. While I indulge the occasional night out on the town, I'm generally more interested in other activities. I listed paintball above, but really any outdoor game will do, just any excuse to get together and have a good time with some friends.

When I can't get out, I find plenty of things to keep me occupied at home. I'm an avid reader, and I can never seem to keep enough new books around to satisfy me. I recently just finished the Twilight series, and Gates of Fire, a book about the Battle of Thermopylae. When it comes to TV – surprise, surprise – my favorite show is House. Of course, I am probably unique in that I often spend half the show noting and later researching all of the medical conditions they talk about.

I'm also a bit of a geek. I've built all of my PCs myself for as long as I can remember, and if I have a broken electronic device, I will usually try to fix it myself first. Sometimes I even succeed!

A quiet, relaxed, lunch or dinner are a great start. Something low-key where we can get to know each other, and plan the second date.
