| | About Me |
| | I have recently seperated from my wife of 16 years. Not my choice, but I must respect her wishes. I accept that I'm taking a new path, and hopefully I'll cross paths with someone special.
I am fortunate to live in the Fraser Valley. By this I believe I get the best of both worlds. I can take off for an afternoon at Granville Island or Stanley Park and enjoy all the benefits that Vancouver has to offer. On the other hand, I can go east and be fishing or hiking in the wilderness and not be bothered by the the crowds and noise.
I enjoy walking and hiking in the woods. I find it relaxing and grounding to be in the wilderness, even if only for an hour, as it reminds me that no matter how big ones problems seem, it can always be overcome.
When I find the time, I enjoy reading, mostly Dean Koontz, but there are several other authors I like. I don't read as often as I would like to, but usually have at least one book on the go.
As far as job aspirations go, I am comfortable doing what I am doing. I believe that I make a difference and keep positive. I have a B.A. from SFU and know that I could persue greener pastures, however I enjoy doing what I am doing and am satisfied with the grass on this side of the fence. I believe my job is what I do, not who I am. To compliment my personal interests, I volunteer within my community (Abbotsford). I believe that since I live here, I have a responsibility to contribute to it. It is here where I try to give some of myself. |

I would enjoy doing something that we would both enjoy. A drive to a restaurant somewhere that a friend of a friend said was amazing, or a coffee on the Drive. I'm quite easy going and can adapt to whatever is comfortable. I am a quite and reserved person myself. I don't eat fast food or drink alot, however I do enjoy a drink. I enjoy coffee, Starbucks French Roast, black, is my favorite. I thought I enjoyed Tim's, however I had a cup last week and it wasn't as good as I thought It was.
A good first date would be something that you would enjoy. It should make you comfortable and relaxed, and permit you to not feel like you are waiting for me to go away. I would envision meeting you where you are comfortable, perhaps Granville Island, the Sea Wall, Robson St, or the Othello Tunnels, and go for a walk. We would stop on a bench, look at the mountains, and ask the akward questions.
By the end of the date, you would hopefully feel comfortable with me and we would know enough about one another to know if things are clicking. I have thought a great deal about what a first date should be like, but realistically, the priority has to be you being comfortable with a stranger and able to know that you are safe.
