Friends (and strangers) refer to me as good-looking and who am I to argue/dispute them? I have spent half my life in the military and the other half (it seems) in school. I was married for four years and have been divorced for 15. My twin daughters are 19 and off to college. I absolutely love an occasioanl GOOD cigar. But don't consider myself a smoker.
Working-out/exercising is an important aspect of my life, as is reading and politics.
I love to cook - and my kitchen is the social hub of my house. If you are looking for a quick roll and then wanting to escape through the first exit - please to do respond. Don't get me wrong, I love sex!!! But at this stage of my life I also want the warm emotions and stability that maturity and closeness provide - from a woman who can love and allow herself to be loved.

Allow me to preface my remarks by stating that in my opinion, "meeting for coffee" does NOT constitute a date. Pictures are a nice start...but that initial chemistry is a MUST!!! Otherwise, we would be wasting each other's time. Consequently, a first date during this time of year (winter) would include dinner and dancing. Wine and candlelight a must! {Summer might include a long motorcycle ride earlier in the day.} After an evening of tripping the light fantastic and sharing who we are...if she is comfortable...back to my place for a midnight swim (yes, my pool is heated) or jacuzzi...followed by cognac in front of the fire while listening to jazz.
Sprinkled throughout the evening would be the intimate unveiling of all those patchwork histories of ourselves that we elect to share with each other. And as we gaze into each other's eyes - we will immediately know if those words fall on indifferent ears - enrich our nurturing hearts.
