Hmmm...I really don't understand why this would be an issue. Maybe I'm clueless ha..ha..ha. But I always'figured, if two people can't play well together. How do you reckon then, can any sort of friendship/long-term relationship develope. Since most folks are interested in knowing if they can get along first with someone etc.
Plus, if at first look. You say, well this ain't the type of guy I'm used to being seen with etc. My answer to that is, have you forgotten. Those type of guys you do like etc. Aren't these the sort that failed you time and time again and wasted your time too. Go figure, ha..ha..ha

First Date
Yes, dumb as this may sound. Someone who will remember to show-up on time. And who actually wants'to be there too. Let's have a no pressure first meeting. I prefer to call it a meet and greet on both sides. Let's leave the awkwardness of trying to immediately analyze a person back at home etc. Because going out is easy. A first date doesn't need to be like an interview.
