About Me
A confident, fun and passionate Aussie who loves to bring out the best in people while also challenging herself. I am pretty sure these would be the words you would get from my friends.
I know that there are always opportunities out there to learn something new, meet new people and discover the world. Traveling and living in many different places, experiencing cultures, art, dance and people, has created my wonder of the globe and definitely developed my sense of humour - sometimes you just have to try it, find out about it later and then just laugh a lot...especially at yourself! I am passionate about the world we live in and am determined to be part of changing it for the better (my Miss World speech, they say!).
Enjoy being outdoors, be it throwing a frisbee, cycling by the water or wandering a trail. Indoors are fun too as I love a movie on the sofa, brunch with friends and wandering the food markets. Great times to be had cooking and eating in, as well as heading to a cafe or restaurant and am a sucker for a picnic - especially when there is water in the view.
I am as comfortable getting into my gumboots(rubber boots for the Canadians amongst us) and getting dirty digging post holes and being with the animals on the farm, as much as I enjoy "frocking up" (dress and heels) and head out on the town for a night of sophistication underpinned with simplicity.
Having moved recently to Vancouver, I am awed by the beauty of my surroundings and appreciate daily the wild sea, mountains, fresh air, great food, wine...(after 3yrs landlocked in Beijing, it is fantastic!
Men that interest me are those that are passionate about life and what they do, optimistic about all it holds, is happy to communicate and work through the best and worst life likes to throw at us. Someone that says it how it is, with a foundation of respect and integrity for themselves and others. Someone that is as happy to discover new places, people and be creative, both down the road and overseas, and is able to inspire me to learn and grow beyond where I am now. My work can sneak a lot of time and energy - I often just have to do what I have to do to get the project done, so understanding my commitment to that is important. I do however make sure I get time away from the office and make the most of that. My life is full of friends and family around the world and visiting with them is something I love to do. Our dinners around the table, wine and beers at the pub or dining out celebrations are times of conversation, laughter and love... they are all elements you are comfortable with, while also enjoying having conversations about any topic of interest, reading a book by the fire and quiet moments of just being.
If you have made it this far and there is something that sparks your interest, will look forward to your note...
First Date
so many options... The relaxed: meet up for a coffee - Cafe Artijiano? The builder: constructing a piece of ikea furniture sans instructions? The interesting: a stroll along Spanish Banks and lunch at a hole in the wall? The active: a ride around the seawall stopping for west coast lunch on the way? The nuts: a polar bear swim in a beautiful lake, with fluffy towel & a hot drink? then again.. spontaneity is always great and happy to see where you suggest..
