What happened to Summer? Did it even start? What happened to the Lions? Did they ever start as well? lol

Night before Thanksgiving is the biggest bar-night of the year. I think it's pretty safe to say that if you are/were out at the bar tonight, you're probably not the girl for me. Just being honest.

I don’t believe I’ll meet the girl of my dreams in a bar (I don’t go there), and no matter what I just can’t seem to meet anyone in the produce section of the supermarket like all those dating books say. Oh, and I don't want to get yelled at for squeezing the melons! ...although I do! ;) So here I am, back in the ring to take another swing!

I’ve thought long and hard about changing my profile to try and communicate (better) what kind of girl I’m looking for. But, first a little bit about me. I’m a very nice guy, goofy sense of humor, retired Army Officer, graduate of State, Father of three (girl, 21 yrs old and two boys...One in the Navy and one with Mom), Lions believer... (May the Schwartz be with you!...lol), Wings fan, and looking for my best friend and true companion. I enjoy going to the gym, movies, dining out, BBQ, hunting, shopping, get-away weekends, biking, NASCAR (go Mark Martin), working in the yard, and the beach/floating around in the pool with a drink. I'm always open to trying new things with the right person. Physically I’d describe myself as an average looking guy with a decent body.

I want to meet the "right" woman and let a relationship develop over time. I am attracted to a woman who can be just as goofy as I am at times, able to communicate, compromise, and work together in all things. You enjoy staying physically fit and going to the gym/exercising (I need a spot sometimes). I would really like to find a girl who is close enough to go to the gym with me on a daily basis. That doesn’t mean you have to be a “hard-body,” or even in great gym shape. But I do want a girl who likes to go to the gym. I'm sure I'm chasing away a lot of you saying that, but that's the kind of girl I'm looking for. I'd rather be honest than the both of us finding out we have nothing in common later on. You also enjoy walking, the beach, get-away weekends, the sun, movies, shopping, holding hands, affection, and romance. You can be a woman, a little girl, an Angel, a devil (oh yes), spontaneous, lazy, energetic, a goof, serious, funny, a massage therapist ;) a teacher, a student, and above all my best friend. I'm not at all into the bar scene or party girls. Got to be honest I like shorter women (5'to 5'7")... It's the "cuddle factor!." lol

Speaking of the "party scene," let me pause here and possibly shoot myself in the foot (lol). But, I just have to comment on pictures I've seen on some profiles that just kind of make me say Hmmmm? I don't check out the guys profiles, but I'm sure you girls may say the same things. Okay, what are they thinking when they post just one fuzzy pic? Pictures with drinks in their hands and drunks all around? A fuzzy pic of themselves and then one more pic a million miles away on a horse, or in a ski outfit on the slopes? Or pictures of cats and dogs instead of more pics of themselves? I know we're from different Planets girls, but if you want to lure one of us into your clutches you need to post clear pictures that give us cavemen a good look at what we're getting into! lol And just because I am a caveman (and very happy being a caveman), I'll profess that the few girls who post a pic in a bikini are most appreciated at this end of the telescope here on Mars!

Okay, if you're still with me here... Very important to me this time around is that we live close to each other. I've done the long distance dating and it's just no fun being so far apart that you can't see each other during the week (after work). I want to be able to get together on a week night for dinner, a swim, ride bikes, the gym (I'm in the gym after work during the week), etc... and not have to drive an hour getting there and going home...unless we spend the night ;)

First date? I think the first time we meet should be about 30 minutes over coffee. I consider the "meeting" date as a chance to check each other out and see if we want to get together again. However, if we connect on that meeting date nothing says we have to keep it to 30 mins :)
