Well, what are you waiting for? We've tried a few careers, gotten the kids out on their own, refined our preferences and figured out what we will tolerate, re-prioritized our must-haves and can't stands: intelligence, informed, current; appreciates good films, above-average writing, eglectic music; healthy, fit body; challenging conversationalist; pays attention to and understands psychic energy (takes responsibility for what happens between ourselves and others, i.e., a conscious life), has figured out what, how, and why past relationships did not work-gotten rid of the proverbial 'baggage'; appreciates natural beauty and revels in the simplest manifestations: the pattern of sunlight on the floor at sunset, a child's trusting gaze, cows grazing in a meadow, the swirl of foam on the top of a cappucino, the unnerving awareness that an artist has captured the essence of life, understands and is ready for real intimacy: emotional, physical, spiritual; and is ready for the last relationship our lives.

Having decided to meet face to face, we would choose somewhere we would look back on as terribly romantic and conducive to our revealing the best parts of ourselves- not necessarily a restaurant (but probably!), somewhere we both have put some time into choosing, because we hope that it will be 'where we met the first time'. My fantasy next date: preparing a simple, but elegant meal together while dancing around the kitchen to music we both like or are introducing to the other.
