Maybe I can find someone to hang around with, that likes to go out now and then, other times stay in and cook and watch movies, and wander around outside once in a while? Hey, anything is possible.

I try to be a positive optimistic person, and sometimes I succeed :) I have a sarcastic side but it doesn't get to come out much, I really don't like hurting people. My sense of humor is, hmm, quirky, or maybe silly. I laugh at strange things, like detergent commercials in the middle of horror movies, and draw random pictures on friends' whiteboards at work. My taste in music is nothing exciting, mostly classic rock and some alternative, say Styx, Bob Dylan, and Death Cab for Cutie. I can't claim to be passionate about music, I enjoy it but it's not my life like it is for some people. I actually tend to listen to NPR a lot, especially the news while driving to and from work. It's good to know what's going on in the world.

In my free time I enjoy outdoorsy things like biking and cross-country skiing. Sometimes I run if conditions are no good for biking or skiing. One day I might get into kayaking. Outdoor interests notwithstanding, I do live indoors like a normal person and spend a good portion of my time there. Reading, movies and video games are fun, and I can be a couch potato just like anyone else. I also like gardening and taking pictures, though I'd never thought of those as hobbies until someone pointed them out, it was just something I do. My house is shared with many plants, whom I do not normally talk to.

I'm not into partying and prefer quieter activities with small groups. If I go out to bars it's to be social and hang out with friends rather than to act stupid and get wasted. Biking and occasional sporting events are also excellent social activities.

We would go somewhere that allows for conversation without lots of pressure. Wandering around a park or mall works well. A quiet bar for drinks would also work.
