I like to suspect I'm intelligent and sometimes funny. Personality-wise I'm patient and easy to get along with. I have a job that I generally like and sometimes put a lot of effort into, but that's definitely not my entire life.

While I dislike the term "working out", I do try to be active and take care of myself so I can live forever and ever and ever... I like biking, even uphill oddly enough. Cross-country skiing is also cool. On weekends when there is actually enough snow I'll visit trails an hour or two away, it makes a nice road trip. For indoor activities, reading and watching movies are good. A lot of what I read/watch is scifi, but I'm not limited to that and can find something to like about most anything. An interest in gardening means I live with many houseplants. I don't normally talk to them.

I don't go out all the time, but with friends then bars and occasional concerts can be fun. The super-state-of-the-art computing technology in my mp3 player says I'm into, among other things, Styx, Bob Dylan, and Death Cab for Cutie, or in other words a lot of classic rock mixed with some newer stuff I'm slowly discovering. In the car I often listen to NPR, I like knowing what's going on in the world.

I'm looking for someone to spend time and go on adventures with. Things that are cool to me include intelligence, an independent mind, and interest in outdoor activities.

We would go somewhere that allows for conversation without lots of pressure. Wandering around a park would be good. A quiet bar for drinks would also work.
