Four (4) hours of sheer musical fun - a journey back in time to the future past, yeah!!!

After a 28 year marriage to my Irish-Danish college sweetheart, I've now been separated for 4 years, and I'm ready to get out and meet new people. I've tried POF for a little while and have met some interesting and nice women and made some friends, but have yet to find that special spark.

I'm a laid-back, easy going guy who is young at heart. I’m 5’ 9” tall, fit, 178 lbs – participate in athletic activities like hockey, orienteering, whitewater canoeing and wilderness camping. I am kind, generous, always a gentleman, loyal to the end, honest to a fault, can see the humour in anything, and I'm a hugger and cuddler, and smiley admirer of the inner as well as outer beauty in a person. I value family and friends, no matter how distant (my some of my best and oldest - over 40 years - friendships are with people who live in Temagami, Vancouver, and Romania). I cry at kids movies, laugh out loud at funny movies, and jump out of my seat at scary ones.

I happen to enjoy movies (all kinds), theatre (all kinds), music (all kinds), hockey (all kinds), whitewater canoeing (all kinds), and camping adventures in Algonquin (all kinds). What I enjoy the most about these is the active participating in them (except the first 2 – I can't act), however I can thoroughly enjoy watching and listening to all of them (except the last one – watching someone go camping isn't my idea of excitement). But most importantly, all of them are best experienced with a special someone to share them with.

I'd like to find a woman who shares my love of some of these things, who has the sensibilities to enjoy both the subtleties and nuances that art can illuminate as well as the jarring, in-your-face boldness and excitement of a thrilling chase scene, crashing through a foaming mass of angry waves! Humour throughout (self-deprecating or otherwise), laughter shared is deliciously contagious when tears soon follow!

Ideally, she'd be someone who is fit and can be physically active to join me on my adventures – hiking, zip-lining, skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing, wilderness camping - these and other activities. If she can't swim, we'd have fun in the pool while I teach her how!

I don't have to say that you also must like dancing (what woman doesn't), but you must have the patience to endure my stumbling attempts to perfect the steps – foxtrots, waltzes, salsas and sambas. All are not easy for me to master, but lessons I have taken and will take, and I would like a partner to practice with who has toes of iron, and can laugh at my mistakes, rather than be upset by them!

I espcially seek a woman who can understand the joys of parenthood and the love of a child, and who values family above all. I love kids and young people - I coach hockey for girls of all ages. I'm an 'empty nester', but since I believe I was put on this earth to be a father, I wouldn't mind, in the least, if you had children still at home.

Honesty, loyalty, kindness, and sensitivity are important attibutes we are all seeking, but it is so nice when it is cradled in the warm embrace of genuine and unbridled affection.

A woman is passion, a woman is sensation, a woman is the soft caress of sensuality – a woman fills a man's imagination, enthralling his senses, and sparking his fires.

I'd like to take things slowly at the beginning, trying to discover whether or not our hearts will melt. As in slowly peeling away the layers of a hidden treasure, each provides the anticipation and the thrill of discovery, likewise are the revelations we glean from each other upon each new rendezvous!
