I'm a warm hearted, friendly person who is also pretty easygoing. I want to meet someone kind, generous, sincere, who is pretty compatible re: music and movies and reading choices. I love to read and I love good music (to me that's indie rock like Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, the Magnetic Fields and more and I love punk like the Ramones and Velvet Underground.) I devour books, especially interesting memoirs about eclectic personalities. I love movies, my faves include ones that are not only musicals but biographical like Walk the Line. I am unfortunately somewhat of a hopeless romantic with a fondness for sappy chick flicks and big romantic gestures. But that makes me pretty easy to sweep off my feet!

I'm not a huge dinner and movie fan. You can't really get to know someone in the dark (well, you CAN but that's not me on a first date at all). I'd like to do something like picnic in a lovely park or head to a museum if it's raining. I like coffee and delicious pastries in intimate coffee shops with eclectic music playing. I'd love to go listen to a good band but not head out for drinks at some wine bar. I'm laidback so we can just chill and play it by ear if we want to. I want someone who can hold their own on a date because I can tend to go on and on if you let me. You need to talk about yourself too, a date that only covers the basics goes nowhere. Take me to your favourite restaurant and tell me more than your favourite band and college major. I like the beach if it's summer... I like walks in a cemetery, I like indie shows, I like interesting art galleries, just don't take me to a monster truck rally or a car show or Stars on Ice. No Celine Dion, no opera, no stuffy dress up fine dining. Let's relax, explore the town, let loose and be ourselves.
