I'm funny, laid back, and at least somewhat intelligent. I work in advertising. I call my self a graphic artist, but I wind up writing ad copy, doing video work, putting together marketing plans—sort of a one man show. I'm also a musician, but it doesn't pay the bills as easily as advertising. I play guitar and write songs. I played around town in a band for awhile. After the band fell apart I starting playing solo gigs once in awhile. I'd like to put another band together, but it's definitely a hobby, I have no delusions of grandeur.

John Cusack's character in High Fidelity says, "What matters is what you like, not what you are like." I think there's some truth to that. We form relationships based on common interests and experiences. In my case anyway, my best friends and most lasting relationships seem to be the ones that share the most in common with me. I think it's important to enjoy some of the same things and share similar goals.

I scuba dive, so for me travel usually involve heading south to Mexico for warm water, beaches, good tequila, and fresh seafood.

I like good food. I try to cook. I do alright. I know enough to buy good ingredients and then not screw them up by trying to do too much. I love good, fresh seafood, a really nice steak, and any half-way authentic Mexican.

I love music. Not just playing it. I'm always searching for a new favorite band. I love catching live shows. I have friends that say I'm a music snob. I don't know if that's quite fair. I think I just have better taste in music than they do.

I like to play it by ear. Dinner is always a good choice. A Cardinals game. Or maybe just drinks downtown.
