I am a senior editor for a Toronto-based magazine where I write about the theatre, concerts, festivals, shopping, dining and art. I have always wanted to write and love what I do and the people I work with. There are lots of nice perks to my job such as tickets to shows and free samples that would be nice to share with someone.

Things that I love: Music, reading, pop culture, design, photography, politics, caffeine, ice cream, movies, canoeing, and cooking.

I am hoping to meet a professional guy who has a sense of humour. I have a pretty sarcastic sense of humour and can be quick with the quips; someone who can keep up gets bonus points. I am looking for someone who will challenge me and make me think outside of my comfort zone. I'm not saying I'll change my mind about something, but I appreciate someone who can make me see things from a different perspective.

Even though my headline says I won't correct your spelling, good grammar is attractive to me. I don't consider "ur" to be a substitute for "your" or "you're," nor is "cuz" for "because." Call it a pet peeve, but I can only read this for so long before I start reaching for my red pen.

Things I admit to being:
Fiercely loyal—I'm very protective of my family and friends, and if you're someone I care about, I'll always look out for you. I'm very close to my family and belong to a big, extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins whom I'm very close to, while my immediate circle of friends includes a group of girls that I have known since kindergarten.

A morning coffee drinker—nothing happens until I've had my morning cup of coffee (and maybe an afternoon one every now and then, too).

Math deficient—please don't ask me to solve x + y for you or a long division problem, that won't be a pretty sight (though I am oddly decent at fractions). I don't get how x + y can equal a number since 1 + 1 doesn't equal A.

Something simple like coffee where we can chat. I'm not fussy so I don't expect some big fancy restaurant.
