| | I am relatively new to the state and am establishing myself socially and professionally. I have been very lucky to make a few new friends who are down to earth and decent people.
Loyalty, respect, honesty, and compassion are very important to me. No one would call me 'superficial'. I enjoy my life a lot.
Drug use and a tendency towards drunkeness are not attractive qualities to me, neither are people with 'loose' value systems. If you drink every other day, I'm not the person for you.
Like anyone else, if the chemistry's right - I'm a passionate romantic. If it's not there it's just not there and I don't believe in faking feelings I don't actually have. People just wind up getting hurt and if it's avoidable, there's no excuse for hurting them. I don't start out serious about someone because with 'serious' there is 'trust' and that doesn't happen instantly. It takes T-I-M-E to find someone compatible and that's just reality.
Freinds would say I'm laid back and in good condition from the top to the toes. I don't drink alcohol. I tend to lean more towards being physically active. Hiking, fishing, archery, writing and playing music, writing fiction, writing poetry, and gobbling up History books. I like to travel too and often load up my dog to hit the road for a day to some new place to go discover. I spent most of my life on the ocean and so now am more attracted towards the mountains.
I am not an online 'chatter' and not interested in a phone or pen pal relationship. The digital world will never replace the real world to me. And that's coming from someone who is a computer 'geek'.

I am not religious but rather hold to a personal philosophy to avoid doing harm, as long as it is reasonable, to any living thing. IOW, spiders are fine so long as they stay out of the house. My personality is generally mellow and somewhat reserved, but am a deeply passionate person under the hood. My ethics are very strong and I am most likely to hit it off with someone else whose are as well.
Physically I'm tall, blonde, blue eyed, have all my own teeth, no disfiguring facials scars, no antennae on my head nor scales on my back, and am slender.
Contrary to popular suspicions some people on this site hold to with a stringent insistence, often the real reasons for not posting a picture has *everything* to do with personal security and nothing to do with hiding anything. People with pictures hide things as often as those who don't have them. And I understand anyone who feels that way. So long as I'm given a general description (age, height, etc ) I think two adults who decide to meet ought to be competent enough to figure out how to locate each other. However, I have every right to guard my privacy and until I feel I know someone well, there are details you simpy won't know about for a time. I would find a man who insisted on any woman compromising her own safety for his own curiosity as a 'No-No' lol This is all fraught with risks of every kind but the person who meets me will see that I'm exactly as I describe.
If you're looking for a NSA, 'hook up', or are otherwise a sleazy dude - pass me by.

For a first date/meeting, I think just meeting during the day at a coffee shop, public park, or cafe is best. Talk together in an unstressed, informal environment. And if things don't 'click', we make new friends. And if they do...whoa! :) |
