the semi-condensed list of all about me (abridged for your pleasure):

i play piano at a mediocre level and guitar badly, but it doesn't matter, i love music either way.

i've been studying/teaching in the martial arts for the last 15ish years.

i use the word "dude" way too much. i just can't seem to stop myself.

i love crossword puzzles...sometimes i get the paper just so i can get the crossword puzzle.

i love to read. usually i prefer fiction - i love a good story, but occasionally a non-fiction book like "fast food nation" or "sex, drugs and coco puffs" piques my interest.

when writing, i grossly overuse the ellipsis....not sure why...i suppose i like the illusion of a pause.

i'm very into working out and fitness. i generally spend 5-6 days a week in the gym. i'm a big fan of lifting - i'm not one of those girls that goes and jumps on the treadmill for half an hour. in the summer/spring/fall i also bike outside.

i have a penchant for driving around aimlessly.

i heart movies. my dvd collection is currently pushing 700. nuff said.

i love trying new food, even if it's just to say i've had it. so i probably wouldn't get along as great with someone who is just a straight pizza and burger kind of guy. while i never push things/ideas on people, it's more fun if the person i'm with is also trying it too.

if i could afford it, i would eat sushi every. single. day.

i do not like talking on the phone. texting is better. it's nothing personal, i just don't have the attention span to listen to someone who isn't standing next to me and i end up saying "what?" every 5 seconds.

what i'm looking for:

nothing too specific.....kind of just enjoying life right now....mostly i'm just looking for potential.....boyfriend, friend, fun date, something more serious....whatever really. even tho i'm not particularly interested in being in anything serious at the moment, i still leave my options open, because you just never know.

mostly i'm here in boredom and not much of an idea of what to do with some of my free time.....there really isn't much to do around here, so if you've got an idea that sounds remotely fun, i'll probably be down for it.

...oh, i should probably put this out there....i don't really drink (usually only with close friends and family on special occasions), so going out for drinks is probably one of the very few things i wouldn't really be into....i'm not the judgmental type of rare-drinker, drink if you want, i could care less, it's just something that i personally have little interest in doing.
