Hello to you all. I am recently separated and will be divorced in the next month. I am learing what it means again to be on my own. I have a daughter, who is 5 years old and is mildly autistic. She is an important part of my life. If you don't know what autism is, please ask. I am more than willing to explain her situation. She is a bright, happy, fun-loving little girl. She just has issues with socialization and playing with others. But when you meet her she can win you over with her personality!!!

I am told by my friends that I am a good-hearted, kind, caring and thoughtful person. I do not get very emotional. I don't jump up and down like a little kid when I get something. I am happy and respectful of gifts I receive, I just act mature about it. LOL
I may be shy at first but once I get to know you better I warm up quickly. I have a good sense of humor, I am witty and sarcastic. I am not the life of the party but I can hold my own with my friends when I am out with them. If you can't deal with sarcasm, I am not the guy to talk to.

I do play video games but I am not one of those geeky nerds that are online all day or waiting for months for the next version of the game to come out. I play for about an hour a week. Just enough to get some entertainment. I have a PSP, PS2, Wii and the original Nintendo NES system. There is much more to do in life than waste away in front of games. HA HA HA!!!

I also love the Yankees and I love pro basketball (The NBA). I referee basketball in my spare time. I enjoy the game and teaching the kids the rules of the game. I referee AAU tournament in the spring and a summer league from late June to early August. And then the winter time I am traveling around Warren, Washington and Saratoga Counties refereeing girls High School basketball.

Wow, good question on what I would do on a first date. I have been out of the dating game for 12 years. I am going to be honest, I don't know what you do on a first date anymore. I guess somewhere where we can sit down and talk about life and each other, like a coffee place or a diner, something very simple. I know you don't want me to see you eat in front of me...women are very image conscience on that. I want to be able to talk to you and have each others undivided attention. I may be shy at first but that will pass as I warm up to you.

I laugh when I see "romantic dinner on the beach" & "stroll along on the beach" or "hike in the woods". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? Be honest with yourself. That is something to do after you get to know someone (several dates later). If I took you for a hike in the woods you would think I was creepy and probably a serial killer. And a stroll along the beach, so cheesy and cliche!!! And if I did, you would think this guy just wants to get into my pants. And a movie is terrible...you cannot talk to each other, you are both as stiff as boards afraid to move in case you accidentally touch the other.

A first date is an interview, thats it!!! Its where you decide if this person is worth the "job" or not. I get tired of people falling into the Hollywood hype of what romance is. Between movies and romance novels, people get sucked into fantasy and forget what reality is. Life is not a book or a movie, life is real...stop falling in love with fantasy, you only get hurt!!! There is a quote from Sleepless in Seattle that explains this perfectly:
