I don't look anywhere near my age; I guess I was blessed with good genes. I'm handsome, smart and stable. I don’t think I take a great picture but mine are all current, so if you like what you see, you won’t surprised or feel misled in any way when you meet me. I have a great smile and a good sense of humor. I like to go out dancing and singing, watch movies or just stay at home and hang out. I love to talk and laugh and I listen well. I'm finally learning to play guitar after wanting to all my life. I'm comfortable in jeans and a tee shirt as well as a suit and just about anything in between. Life is short and I want to enjoy as much as I can. I take care of myself - eat right, work out. I'm not running from my years, but when I’m eighty I want to still be active.

Dinner and a movie are not too high up on my list of date ideas. I like to put a little thought into how we get to know each other and enjoy our time. I’m romantic and thoughtful; I do my best to communicate (even though men and women speak different languages), and take the time to understand the intention behind the words before I react to anything.

I not desperate by any means, I have no problem meeting women, just problems meeting the right one. I love to sing karaoke, so I know all about bar flys and I'm not interested in meeting that type. I just don't know where to go to meet someone who will be my perfect match. At my age, everyone has a past, but hopefully you have learned from it and are moving in the right direction. I have worked hard to see the issues in my life and fix what needs fixing; I’ll be working on some things till the day I die, but that’s just the way life is. I want to have the fewest regrets possible in my life and I think I’ve done a good job so far. I am a man of my word and I know how to set and keep boundaries. If you draw a line, I won’t cross it, but I’ll tickle it with my toes a bit…

I have a great job and I love my life. I'm independent and adventurous and do the things I enjoy. I live alone and I like to cook for myself and keep my place clean. I'm not tied to where I live, but at this point, I would only be interested in moving to be closer to the person I fall in love with. I’m not a material person, although I take good care of what I have. I plan for the future but I also enjoy the moment. My children don’t live with me, but they are my priority and I expect if you have children, that you feel the same way about yours. I am very protective, so if you meet my children, you’ll know I’m serious about you.

I enjoy my free time and I'm not clingy or jealous. I don't believe in snooping around trying to find things. In my experience, the truth always comes out and there's no sense in rushing it. I believe in trusting someone until they prove they are no longer trustworthy. It's easier to get hurt with that outlook, but I still think it's the best way to live.

I believe in chemistry - hard to describe, but you know it when it’s there. I'm holding out for that one person; the one I can't wait to come home to, the one I wake up early to talk to, the one who falls asleep in my arms; feeling like the most blessed couple in the world.

An evening in Santa Barbara - it's a place I love and know well; maybe a little shopping on State Street and then a walk on the Wharf for some wine tasting and then dinner looking over the harbor...
