I'm here to hopefully find someone brilliant and amazing although I might settle for cute and funny if I have to. :)

I have an eclectic taste and wide range of interests, so we're bound to have something in common. I can play a mean game of backgammon, so watch out! I'm learning to play tennis and you could probably beat me at this point (so could any toddler), but not for long.
I love the Yankees (stop the hate mail already!) ... I try to watch or attend as many games as I possibly can and it's the reason I have XM in my car. Spring training is probably the best month of the year :) They should rename the months; january, february, spring training, april, may....
I'm definitely planning a trip up to NYC this summer to personally say goodbye to "old" Yankee stadium. Sooo many memories there.
I also love the Giants (superbowl champs.. booyah!) and I'm a Knicks fan and OHIO State fan (my school).. If these aren't your favorites, it's not a dealbreaker. I don't expect you to like the best teams and I'll accept your flaws.

Actually a little FRIENDLY competition never hurt anyone.
I love intimate social gatherings with close friends, lots of laughter, good music and a bottle of (whatever).
I like rainy days, dvds and fluffy comforters...
I like spontaneous day/weekend trips to places like St. Augustine for no reason whatsoever.
I'm not exactly sure why I love going to the zoo, but I do. I don't even own any animals. My favorite: the giraffe
I can watch The Shawshank Redemption over and over.. something about Morgan Freeman's voice is so soothing... or maybe it's that it's just an awesome movie.
I like laughing until it hurts.
I love watching the Office (both british and american versions)
Dwight Shrute is hysterical.
I enjoy a scary thunderstorm as long it doesn't include 100mph winds and has a name attached to it.
I don't drink coffee but have a $50 useless Starbucks gift card.
I feel absolutely exhilarated after saving a baby's life. (sometimes on a daily basis)
I enjoy visiting my friends at the nursing home and bringing them treats.
I'm afraid of spiders.
I can listen to Michael Buble endlessly..
Slightly opinionated.
98.6% refined.
My favorite actor is Gerard Butler.
I believe you get what you give. Even if it does take awhile...
I love my friends even though a few of them need to be smacked upside their heads from time to time.
I think cops, teachers and nurses are way underpaid.
I think I'll stop here...
Wait.. I like taking a drive out to either coast (I'm centrally located, so a left or a right turn will take me to either one) for some beach time and hopefully a groovy little restaurant with live music, perfect margaritas and fantastic company.
I'm currently reading: The Confident Woman by Joyce Meyer and A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, both fantastic reads. You can get them at one of my favorite places to hang out (Barnes and Noble) or wait until I'm done reading them..
I spend a lot of time with charity work, so I hope you're into giving your time generously as well. March of Dimes and the Susan G. Komen foundation are the ones I spend the most time with but certainly work with others as well. Come do a 5k with me... it'll be fun.

I'm looking for someone:
Fairly intelligent (ok, you really should be smart) because I love Scrabble, so you'll need to know how to spell.
You should smile often and laugh aloud.
You need to like (not just tolerate) kids.. you may even have some of your own.
You haven't lost or abandoned your inner child and still know how to have fun and be silly.
You sing along to your favorite songs but you also know you'll never be the next American Idol, and it's ok.
You help elderly people cross the street and find their cars.
You're responsible.
You're friendly.
You're not obnoxious..
You're
not recently and/or currently separated.
You're not on parole and have ever commited a serious crime.
You don't smoke and you don't drink like a fish.
You are serious when it's called for..
You have your head screwed on real tight and it's sitting on top of your shoulders.
You're over your ex... come on should I really have to request this.
Your idea of playing games should involve an actual board, dice, cards.. little monopoly pieces...
MUST be emotionally stable and have your life under control.
I don't believe there is one person for each of us... there are several. But I do believe that one is enough. I'm looking (eventually) for something long term. I don't want to rush into ANYthing.. but I also don't want to find my match in a nursing home either. I am not looking to serial date (I really don't like dating period).. I AM looking for one person for the ultimate relationship. If you're not at the point in your life where a long term commited relationship (eventually) doesn't fit into the plan, you may want to pass me by, and it's ok.. I know what I want.
Do I expect to find the love of my life here? Probably not...
But.. it's the unknown that keeps my interest in signing back in.
Have a fabulous day!!
~J

Bonus points if you actually read this profile.
If you email me and ask me to meet you for coffee...... uhm.
If you have a testimonial on your page.. you may want to consider removing it...that's so high school! Plus, do I really want the advice of some woman you don't want to date?
ps: If you're reliving your 20s and spending more time at bars than you do at home or other social gatherings, you may want to do a 18-25 search. Just sayin'!
