When I'm not getting ready to secure the future at a nice school in the area, I'm working hard at the gym, skating hard at the hockey rink, experimenting lightly in the kitchen, and catching up on classic movies. The iPod earbuds are always optional.

What drives me crazy the most is that some people think making simple things very complex is impressive. I'm more impressed with people who can simplify very complex things -- who can make order out of chaos.

Ask my friends about me, they'll start off by calling me a bum. Then they'll tell you they're kidding and say that I'm the nicest man they've ever met. Then they'll tell you they're exaggerating and bounce around adjectives like "gritty" and "passionate" and "resourceful."

If you love hockey, working out, and "Iron Chef," I want to meet you. If you're willing to get involved with any of those three while opening me up to more things, I want to meet you. If you want to go out to dinner and talk about food served at the restaurant across the street, I want to meet you. If you want to catch a movie and sit together with tons of popcorn, I want to meet you. If you're vivacious during the day and voracious at night, I want to meet you.
