Artist Seeks Strong, Witty, Independent Woman

Hello my name is Guarionex, but my friends call me Guario. I am an artist, down-to-earth, life long New Yorker, a Hispanic-American (English is my first language). I am not the party animal type and hate games. Prefer jeans over suits. I have a master in sociology, but make my living in art. I love fine art abstract photography...have had gallery shows, been in magazines, in many collections, all over the net. Along with art I also like history.

I work long hours on my art and it becomes hard to meet a nice lady. A lady who will respond when, for no reason, I suddenly hold her hand or bring her flowers. A woman who will also understand that, at times, I will need a little space. A woman who knows that a pair sometimes consist of two ones. A woman of self-worth who knows herself and knows that life exists outside the boob tube, Hollywood gossip; who understands that at times we must question what the media feed to us. A sense of humor is a must, I have been told that my humor is quick, sharp and full of wit ... we must be able to laugh in this life, otherwise it is all tears.

Honest communication is the foundation on which to build a relationship of friendship, trust, love and commitment. I strongly believe that friendship without love can last a lifetime; but love without friendship, like a beautiful rose without rain, soon fades, withers and dies.

Keeping it real I must state that I am a mild smoker (in the process of quitting).

What I seek most in a first date is Truth, for it will be the foundation on to which we can build. Perhaps we would build a house of Friendship, perhaps a cottage of love, perhaps both … but truth is the required tool in the building.

A small meeting in a coffee shop, a walk in the Park … a quiet, small “getting to know you” moment. It doesn't matter what you wear, but what you say and think.
