I'm an easy-going, compassionate, quiet, laid-back, warm, and friendly person, although I do have a fairly sarcastic sense of humour. I'm very independent and quite ambitious - I'm working on my masters degree as a stepping stone to my future career and I love what I do. I guess you could say that I know what I'm looking for out of life, and I'm not afraid to go after it. In that respect, I tend to be very passionate about the things that are important to me such as reading, music, psychology, yoga, dance, CFL football (Go Esks!), travel, coffee and a number of other things - just ask me...

I'm definitely not the bar star/party scene type of girl - I'm more the coffeehouse/wine bar/neighborhood pub kind of girl, especially if there is great conversation involved. I've only been living in Calgary for a year, so I'm having a lot of fun finding new places to hang out. I love to ski in the winter, golf in the summer (although I'm not particularly great at either), and dance (salsa/ballroom/middle eastern) and practice yoga all the time. I'm not a superstar athlete by any means - I enjoy being active but my happiest place to be is sitting in the sunshine with a great book.

I'm looking to meet a guy who is similarly ambitious, open-minded, curious, witty, and able to hold his end of a conversation. I respect confidence, but I have no time for arrogance. Interest in travelling is a definite must - I've done my fair share of travel, but there is still so much more of the world that I want to see and I'd love to have someone to share that with. I'm not necessarily looking for anything serious right off, but I'm certainly open to the idea - I'd like to meet some great people, and see where things develop from there.
